If Burnley win their game in hand, we’re only seven points above the drop zone. How can we not be acknowledging we are in a battle to stay up with 16 games to go? 🤔

I posted a thread to ask the question and it’s mysteriously been deleted?

Probably the must undeserved 3 points any team will get this season. Fair play for their goals, both very good long range efforts. Disappointing to not win that and hideous to not even come away with a point. We need to start winning league games soon, this rot is extremely concerning!

...they were always going to be looking to hit us on the break!!!

The fact that we had so much possession was down to their game plan and we played a lot better than we have done for some time. Setting traps for Ndidi and pressuring Tielemans and KDH worked for them and they always looked threatening going forward.

Once again being poor in the last third has cost us and that is something we just cannot seem to come to grip with.

Absolutely right about the effort today. The problem is when you're 2-1 down in the last qtr of a game you know the opposition are going to defend in numbers.

The decision to sub 1 lone striker for another, neither of whom are out and out number 9s, shows how much Rodgers understands about winning football matches.

Could easily have taken Albrighton or Tielemans off at that stage, or both with Madders coming on as well.

Sh*t managers decisions keep costing us every game.

Yeah I do agree to be honest, he got halfway there taking Wilf off for Maddison but the Daka/Nacho straight swap did seem a bit odd, neither are great on their own.

To me Lookman is very inconsistent, flashes of quality but needs to do it more often. Today was the best I’ve seen him play for us.

He is definitely better on the left.

In the blue corner, we were good in the 2nd half last Sunday, won comfortably on Thursday (yes, Randers were poor), and were pretty good today & showed more steel.

In the red, we keep conceding 2 per game (non from set pieces today).

l’m feeling more positive than I’ve been for some time.
This season for various reasons has been a car crash (chronic injuries, fitness, poor tactics, team selections, substitutions & pure bad luck).
Surely 2 or 3 of the above reasons have to change soon.
Let’s just see the season out, finish mid table, rebuild & go again.

Where's Ndidi these days? Did a different player come back from Afcon?

He's been struggling all season really, not just since AFCON. I thought the back 4 were fine today. Both Wolves' goals came from areas around the edge of the box where Wilf used to mop up any danger. I don't know if BR is asking him to play different role than he used to but we really need the old Wilf back.

Just not good enough on any level I'm afraid.

If we continue to concede 2 goals per game we will be in big trouble.

I think there is a fair chance(at least if we continue on the current trajectory of points gathered from last 4 games) we will get between 34 and 37 points. Can't see many more than that right now. We have some huge games against fellow strugglers to play and we need to win.

Away at Burnley isn't must win but it sure is must not lose.

We've turned from one of the best sides in the league to one of the worst (on current form) in the matter of a few months. Utterly pathetic and the players and management should take a long hard look at themselves.

He had been a shadow of his former self all season.

He has been great, but I think his time here is done. He needs fresh challenges. Perhaps being benched might spur him to up his game. Let's try Mendy for a bit.

We played well today, our general play was far better than them.

But we didn’t go ahead when we had the momentum and didn’t close down their shots quickly enough.

Don’t think anyone had a bad game, except perhaps Daka.

Frustrating.

....if we keep on deciding to leave him isolated, we will be seeing the same results over and over again!!!

Playing balls through for him to run on to is what we needed to be doing, but we continued to play to feet. He came short to get onto the ball, and that is not his game. It was strange that against Randers when he went off, we started to play those kind of passes for Nacho who does not have the speed to exploit that kind of service.

Going to one upfront was a big mistake as neither Nacho or Daka excel in those situation, Rodgers in the end withdrew Ndidi and we could have had the two upfront, although KDH began to suffer from fatigue and started to misplace or mis control the ball, and we do not want to run him into the ground, irrespective of how much he wants to play.

I actually thought we were great. We completely dominated them for the entire game, can barely remember them getting in our half in the second half.

We could have created a bit more but other than that it was a really solid performance. Set pieces were difficult to watch, not sure why our players find crossing the ball into the box so hard.

Just checked the xG for each of their goals and it amounted to a combined 0.06 so there’s an element of just good finishing on their part. We could have defended better for both the goals, but they also don’t go in most of the time.

The strikers weren’t great. Neither Daka or Kel got involved enough, not sure what was wrong on that front. I’d probs give Kel a run next game just to see if it makes a difference.

Lookman however, I thought that was one of the best performances from an individual player all season. He looks so so much better on the left. At £15m he’d be great bit of business imo.

My stream only worked for the first 10 minutes. Most of you say the performance was better, but the BBC report has all of their players marked higher than ours! (Lookman our highest).

Hoping the BBC reporter is not a Wolves fan, and so he marked it as an objective neutral. Any explanation?

...yes he is, and it is to his and the teams' detriment!!!

I enjoyed these last 2 games...I

Shame we are still Not Clinical enough, when we create. Our  movement has got better,But Dont forget, even Vardy wasnt converting...

We Need to Score goals like Wolves have been doing...

Spurs,Arsenal,Wolves,W.Ham,even Brighton & Now Southampton, have consistently  found solid Good performamces.

We haven t delivered yet any 3 game above average performances...

i am Happy since the NF game, we have started to Show some spirit,Skill and again desire in our game...

Too many..who Dive into hysterical Weekly thoughts & cant Let go...

Yes we have had for our squad quality, a poor season.  So many mitigating circumstances, & long periods of  consistent injuries ...

Because of our squad & lack of chances of regularly choosing the same personelle. or even with a fit team,One Thing I wont do...

Is criticise any manager for their Team selections...This forum goes OTT & rides an arrogance beyond belief, because "some" Dont agree

with Team selection....For the Way that selected Team then presents itself & performs, then fair enough..!!

I'm seeing posts on this thread with various players being criticised, and Rodgers should have done this, should have took him off earlier, we should play 3 at the back, etc, but for next we played well, very well, but missed out chances and conceded 2 very good goals, another day we're winning by 3. I think Rodgers got it right today but it just didn't happen, disappointing, but not as disappointing as seeing us at the city ground, many positives from today foe me
