Surely the trial run would just be to a lower end Prem side on loan

Possibly but I'd quite like him around the place and playing some games for us before Kasper goes so it's not quite as bigger deal as it is going to be.

Surely no chance he goes to a PL club yet - he needs a higher profile loan first. If he went to a PL club on loan he would be No 2 there and that’s no good to his development.

Think you're probably right.

Shame we don't still have big wes.

Big wes, little wes cardboard box.

That way we also have a chant for Vestergaard as well.

A newly promoted side might fancy him, if they've been impressed by him this year at Preston. Or Preston could sneak up and keep him like United did with Henderson

Agree re preston but they aren't going up

the sides who go up will keep the keeper they have rather than replacing iverson as their first choice

and why is this in little wes's thead ??

Hopefully he comes back next season as our number 2 and is given a good 5-10 games to test if he is the long term replacement. The only issue is that we may well not have European football next season so less obvious games to play him in.

we've played Kasper in every European game so that won't change anything

I don't think he'll play as much next season if its his last season with us and we are trying to develop Iversen but I may well be wrong.

I think the club will want him to end his career here, if possible. But I am not sure his body can take 38 games next season.

Never mind his body. I can’t take 38 more games next season with him in goal!

I understand why outfield players need experience at lower levels and then slowly get introduced to the PL, why does it also apply to goalkeepers? You can either save shots/control your box/distribute a ball or you can't.

Odd reaction from Gray on this on Wes' Instagram.

Wow! I thought he might have grown up a bit since he left us.

Perhaps it’s a bit immature of dimi to put that but he’s not wrong. Wes left ASSE because he said he couldn’t turn down the money that his move here would provide to him and his family.

he hasn’t signed this extension just because he loves us, despite what he’s written …….

you need experience at the highest level you can get it at, irrelevant of where you play ….

Do outfield players always need loans? Luke Thomas, TAA and Reece James have done pretty well without it. Often its more a case of no room in the squad unless an emergency happens and a young player has to step up like Thomas. KDH was out on loan because there was no vacancies in our squad. In his case it has benefitted him because of his obvious ability he got plenty of game time. Too many of our loanees though spend too much time on the bench.

Let's see if Dimi agrees to a pay cut when Everton are in the Championship next season.

Something tells me he won't.

The master of vague indirect Instagram comments, Demarai Gray. So vague he can shake it off by saying he didn't mean anything by it, it's one emoji again ffs.

If he did mean something by it I hope he finally gets to move on from us in his head at some point, because I'd like to think we're over it. Best of luck in your career Dimmy, thanks for the 2016 efforts and Vichai's goal in Cardiff.

Pedantic but Reece James was at Wigan for a season.

The fact Gray was Sean From Enderby’s source says it all in terms of what type of person he is. Bitter.

Makes you wonder how a bloke called Sean from enderby makes friends with Demari Gray.
