Course they do, just perhaps think they are smarter than to get twisted at a local gaff when the team is going down the swanny.

Well apparently not. Think Leicesters golden boy Harvey Barnes spends more time boozing then he does training

Seems a not uncommon opinion across even unrelated fanbases

Its almost like we are partisan  lol

The Mount comparison is valid and feels outrageously unfair, but the <expletive> clubs, just do perpetual reach arounds for each other, in their fetid closed shop, so is outside normal rules it seems

I disagree

Chelsea fully justified imo

two years younger than madders means he has much higher resale value

chelsea are effectively strengthening a direct rival

chelsea can afford to take £20m from somewhere else in January or even see the player go in a free next summer (they certainly won’t want to buy if push comes to shove they can )

Had to happen for everyone concerned - he did well for us and is a terrific player but wasn’t up to the fight last year like nearly all of his team mates - biggest clubs haven’t sniffed at him even at a reduced price - tells you a lot - gone to a bang average spurs side who will continue to be bang average - Maddison will continue to look decent and his numbers will be good again this year - it’s a good if not great fee for us - it will be 45 or 50 with add ons and we will get a good bit of that on appearances alone - also in thinking the winks fee will be reduced to accommodate probably another 5m so all in all not a terrible deal for a player with 1yr left who was never going to play in championship anyway - we move onto the next chapter and viva la rebuild - let’s get behind the new gafffer and players and have a crack at this championship shall we

Yeah well aware of that. Him getting out of Leicester and having a child may knock that on the head.

Glad he’s out the door now! For me won’t go down as a very liked player when you look back his attitude and the fact he downed tool since after the World Cup really cost us! And the deluded comments he was making just unbelievable! Fact that he’s going to spurs and not a top 4 club says it all!

Fair enough, but if Chelsea were selling Maddison and us Mount - would these numbers look inverted or wildly different?

The sooner we are rid of Maddison, Thomas, Barnes and Hamza we might actually be able to build a half decent team spirit without some little clique prioritising their socials over the club.

I'm all for players enjoying themselves but these lads have not reigned it in at all during the past year when maybe it would have served them and the club better if they got their  heads down and focused on improving as players.

For what it’s worth, Percy reckons £40m is the guaranteed fee, with addition fees based on appearances and achievements. We’re probably looking at more like £45m or more being very likely.

And Declan Rice is worth £100 million plus add ons. Hmmm… it’s all gone mad

As we all know, the fee is just whatever the selling club want. Is Rice worth £100m to Arsenal or Man City? No, course not, they could both probably buy a better player for less but he is worth £100m to West Ham.

Not just that though is it, as if he wasn`t believed to be worth 100m to the buying club I cannot imagine they would buy him for 100m

The best thing about this is his goal shoehorned in at the end of the pre match montage can finally be removed.

Hopefully we can the whole thing

It is getting to the stage where all top players must be offered extensions two years from the end of their contracts and possibly sold if they won't sign them.  Their value goes down dramatically from then on. Maddison has lost 30% of his value in the last year inspite of having a pretty good season.

Fantastic player

Great communicator to the media when it was needed

I'm not going to hold anything from last season against him, the place was honking and everyone was shit.

Seems a genuinely nice person, I completely disagree with the notion he is going down there solely for the lifestyle, he's about to be 3 kids deep lol , perhaps he is doing it for his family though in the sense Kennedy is probably a little bit fed up of living in Nottingham after years of modelling around the world before meeting Madders lol

Hope he does well :)

Reported £175,000 a week and the bright lights of London. Somehow don't think he will miss us too much.

He hates Spurs?

When he was like 15 he had a bit of a twitter rant about them and their "monkey" Bale. Will be funny to use in winding up Spurs fans but god help us if we were all held to our opinions when we were 15/16.
