Foxxed Posted 26 February 2023 Posted 26 February 2023 Are we getting Potter then or are we still too skint to sack Brendan?
kingkisnorbo Posted 26 February 2023 Posted 26 February 2023 Reckon Chelsea go for Rodgers you know. I think Spurs will too if Conte goes.

Yeah I've had a sneaking suspicion for a little while that he might replace Conte. Chelsea I think might see him as being too similar to Potter. Edited 26 February 2023 by Guest
Matt Posted 26 February 2023 Posted 26 February 2023 Looks quite fetching in Chelsea training wear doesn't he?! Suits him.
David Hankey Posted 26 February 2023 Posted 26 February 2023 Potter gone in the morning and to think some folk wanted him here, no thanks.

fazzyfox Posted 26 February 2023 Posted 26 February 2023 Re Chelsea, signing young players with big potential you’re planting seeds for the future years, it’s not going to bloom overnight but having said that, handing a skilled coach that group of players you’d expect him to get more of a tune and some identity out of them. It’s real life not a console game but with the players available it’s a serious under performance.

Tuna Posted 26 February 2023 Posted 26 February 2023 No chance either of these two goes for Rodgers 1
Popular Post kingkisnorbo Posted 26 February 2023 Popular Post Posted 26 February 2023 Potter needs time and a bit of patience to do what he does. He's been successful when he's allowed time. Wrong appointment, but hasn't damaged his stock. I'd also say having a gaggle of expensive players that you haven't sanctioned being signed isn't technically a good thing. 5
so1 Posted 26 February 2023 Posted 26 February 2023 Rodgers got the same kind of opportunity from Liverpool and with time (year) almost won the league.
Dahnsouff Posted 26 February 2023 Posted 26 February 2023 Chelsea needed a big name manager to ground their big name players, not a professor unfortunately.

He was a good at Brighton. I don't see why he can't replicate that here.
Raj Posted 26 February 2023 Posted 26 February 2023 Chelsea sacking Tunchel for Potter is like having dumping Michelle Keegan for Kevin Keegan!

StanSP Posted 26 February 2023 Posted 26 February 2023 Rodgers to get sacked after losing to Southampton. Chelsea sack Potter after losing to Leeds. Chelsea hire Rodgers. Chelsea beat us in his first PL game.

They played some attractive football at times and that's it. They also had series of inconsistent games like we do with BR. We need a Spanish manager as they tend to be more creative tactically.
Miquel The Work Geordie Posted 26 February 2023 Posted 26 February 2023 Absolutely no chance Rodgers ends up at Chelsea or Spurs, his spin machine means he doesn't look as disastrous as he has been but it certainly doesn't frame him as a Big 6 manager

Lionator Posted 26 February 2023 Posted 26 February 2023 If Rodgers left us tomorrow the best standard of job he’d get is an Everton/West Ham/Villa. 1
