What disappointed me the most was the away end and our support. Should have been cheering start to finish and this is from a 70 year old.

Very intermittent and spasmodic. Me and my lads were sick to death of loads pushing past us every five minutes to get a drink of go for a piss. I said to one drunk, why did you bother coming to the game!

What was the point of singing Ranieri’s name, waste of effort, living in the past. That moment has long gone, the match in front of us was a lot more important.

At the end of the match not many people were gutted, all smiling and chatting.

Of all my European trips probably the worst away end.

I was so wound up, ended up with the medical team at the end of the come on a heart monitor.

Anyway, we lost a game of football and now move on, but I think some of our so called fans need to have a look at themselves. Accept this point of view won’t go down well with the younger generation, but a lot let themselves down Thursday.

2nd half I would agree with you, I know we were playing poorly but once it started to kick off to the left of me more fans seemed to be interested in that and not watching the game. It was amazing that the majority lost any interest in the match when there was still so much time left.

Hope you’re feeling better

I think there was just an air of inevitability to the whole night which is probably why people didn’t seem THAT bothered. I must admit, I’m more pissed off today than yesterday and was more pissed off yesterday than at FT. But I’ve sobered up 😂

Maddison's tweet this morning is concerning tbh. If these players genuinely feel they died for the cause on Thursday then we have problems.

It may not be a popular view and it may not have come across to those watching on TV but I thought Maddison worked his socks off, not saying he played well but he grafted and kept trying to find space and popping up all over with no reward. I also looked at the players at the end and he was certainly totally gutted. He was the one for me who gets a little latitude.

I agree about being more fed up as we have had time to think about the game and come to terms with the ineptitude of the performance. Never gave it a go, I would love to ask why in the last 5 minutes we did not just throw Evans or someone up and hope for a break. Instead in injury time he is still on the halfway line with the ball just looking for a pass , no urgency !

Hopefully the last we see of the mint kit aswell. Nice idea but will always wear the defeats we've had in it. I hated our 18/19 Grey/Orange originally but it's appearances gave character.

Be nice if we could get the swashbuckling 19/20 away form back without Europe. If it wasn't all just Vardy's energy.

The beer thing is exactly the reason I don’t want it here at all.

Did mention to a mate, the early kick offs also work in favour of firstly atmosphere and secondarily, it not kicking off. The beer thing was fine if we were kicking off at 8.

I didn’t think it wasn’t that bad tbh. On more than one occasion Roma were whistling to drown us out. When it kicked off with the coppers, it went downhill from there.

I’ve seen Leicester teams not trying or throwing the towel in, but Thursday night wasn’t that. It was a set of players robotically delivering the tactical plan that they’ve had drummed into them over a couple of years and that tactical plan simply not coming out on top against the tactical plan delivered by the better manager.

Agreed. No lack of effort but a refusal to try anything different. It's been a feature of Rodgers' tenure.

Roma would've picked the whole scenario from the outset.

Totally agree with this assessment. Robotic is a perfect description for our style of play. Nobody dribbles with the ball or plays risky or long passes any more. The players have been conditioned to recycle the ball endlessly with short passes, often going back even when forward options are on. It feels like the players have all been brainwashed to play as safe as possible and keep the ball at all costs. Seeing us still building up slowly across the backline even when there was only a minute ot two left the other night was infuriating but typical. Even Man City threw a centre back up front in the closing stages against Real. Oh for the O'Neill days when in the final minutes we would put so many balls and men into the box, resulting in many a late equaliser or winner.

We looked good for moments in the first half when players dared to fizz direct, forward passes into feet, but the players are terrified of trying it consistently for fear of losing precious possession of the football.

Accusing players of lack of effort is the easiest criticism you can make. Very rarely do players not try. Way more to do with tactics and skills then effort.

Spot on. It’s the slow ponderous ultra cautious non-dynamic style of play - and the poor touches, misplaced passes and weak challenges - that give the impression they can’t be arsed.

Though the sight of our passionless notebook scribbler on the touch line doesn’t exactly help.

All good thanks, as long as I’m breathing I’m happy. There were two of us on monitors, as soon as the medics said to the other guy maybe hospital, he ripped off his wires and stickers and legged it.

Don’t like to mouth off, but around us there were loads of fans who had just come for the craic. Just found it so frustrating. I’m so desperate for Leicester to win, I get wound up when anybody even leaves early for a half time drink or gets back late.

The fans were nearly as bad at Eindhoven when I saw a 10 year face planted onto a seat in front when a pissed city fan purposely caused a 10 row collapse. Blood everywhere.

On our scenic bus journey back to the Termini, fans on our coach we’re ripping off advertising posters. Why!!!!

Anyway, it is what it is. Both manager, team and fans need to up their game.

Compare the body language of our players to the attitude and effort of Abraham for them. Night and day.

Totally agree with most of what you’ve said but apparently we’re out of touch with the younger generation!

to be fair, there were plenty of middle aged men drinking a lot more than they probably should have too. But it’s not for me to tell people how to live their lives …….

The mint kit is insipid in keeping with the performances

Difficult to concentrate fully on the game when your in danger of being smashed in the head by flying bottles , lighters, vapes and glasses of piss.

Exactly, I had 1.5 litre bottle full of yellow water hit me  square in the chest, luckily had the top on, didn't see it coming either as watching the game  and still have the bruise now.

afterwards a guy comes over and says 'dont worry mate, I chucked it back and smacked a fooker straight on the head' didn't know how to  respond 😅

I had heard a rumour that our mint kit was made out the recycled Man Utd grey kit back in the day, the lads just can’t see each other

....doesn't that say a lot, as to what they were seeing on the pitch!!!
