Looks nice in theory and CDK would slot in nicely at the top alongside Vardy but it would mean dropping Barnes and also sacrificing way too much width. Brendo talked about it at some point last season where he's debated the diamond with his coaching staff but you'd just surrender areas out wide by doing that.

Its just another option.

And KDH and Youri on the bench?

Eriksen would be the Youri replacement. And yeah, KDH on the bench at times.

Eriksen would be a very good replacement for Tielemans, I'd love to have them both. If only we were still in Europe.

Depth

Well obviously but why would he come to us to be depth when he could stay and live in London while also starting every game.

If a player of serious quality like Eriksen comes on the market and there is a whiff of interest from his side you make your move. This will be the start of the Brenaissance.

Can't wait to see Eriksen and Maddison fighting to take a free kick on the edge of the box lol at least we'd have someone who can take a corner though..

Eriksen is famously shite at corners.

We dont need Eriksen if we have tielemans and maddison. We need a left back and a right winger first.

In case you missed the memo, Youri doesn’t want to stay.

Because he might not be the one on the bench, because we pay more, because we are better than them, because he has "Danish Friends" here.

Then we are humped as a top flight footbal club. If we can't afford the wages of a Brentford player to replace one of our star players (assuming Youri goes) then we may as well track down Stephen Hughes, buy him a pair of football boots (assuming we can afford them), sign him and await our inevitable fall to the conference league.

I wouldn’t be that annoyed finishing 7th

A left back? lol

Justin

Castagne

Thomas

Bertrand

Ricardo

All played there last season. It’s the position we least need lol

Three of those are injury prone and we can’t consider Bertrand as a viable option. It’s very possible Justin and Ricardo won’t be available for more than 20 league games given their injury record :dunno:

I would sign a left back, but for the u23s. Someone who has the potential to break into the first team squad. Basically a left footed version of Wormleighton.

Thierry Small would have been ideal last season when he left Everton but Martin Glover was quick to sign him up for Southampton.

Ricardo, granted. But JJ not so sure.

Still leave you Thomas.

Plus Castange could play LB and Wormleighton come in at RB.

We do not need any full backs unless we sell one.
