RowlattsFox Posted 28 June 2022 Posted 28 June 2022 Having Kasper here may persuade him, and its certainly commutable. I'd be happy enough with him but do fear he'd get in Maddisons way a bit. He would probably play from the right as well.

Popular Post Leicester_Loyal Posted 28 June 2022 Popular Post Posted 28 June 2022 Would love this signing, prior to last season I always thought it was just that little bit of midfield quality we lacked in the run in which cost us dearly. This allows Maddison and Tielemans to have off days and also not have to play 90 minutes every week. One negative may be our wage bill though, can we shift enough players to accomodate him? Need to increase our turnover ASAP. 6
Popular Post Torten Posted 28 June 2022 Popular Post Posted 28 June 2022 To be fair if I had to choose between Brentford and Man Utd, I’d probably end up choosing Leicester 2 9
DezFox Posted 28 June 2022 Posted 28 June 2022 (edited) I don’t think he is coming here. It could even be Leicester starting the rumour to keep fans a littler happier. Fill them with false hope anyway haha. Edited 28 June 2022 by DezFox 1

He has no resale value, especially since entire leagues can't sign him. My guess would be 100-110k at the most.

Still a lot of money for us, especially with our turnover vs. wages ratio. Might be able to shift Hamza and Mendy to offset it I suppose. KDH has just had a new contract though, and I can't imagine Maddison is far away from getting a new one, then Tielemans as well...

Life of a big club, innit!
coolhandfox Posted 28 June 2022 Posted 28 June 2022 Quality player on a free, who has shown he can still play well at this level, what not to like. 1
lcfcsnow Posted 28 June 2022 Posted 28 June 2022 I hope we're not seriously pursuing this, our strategy seems to have gone to offering high wages on players past their best and no longer genuine prospects with a future beyond a few years. We appear to be very risk averse now but it's those signings that still make up most our team as no one that we've signed in the last few years (apart from Fofana) are good enough to displace them. 2

He was good enough for a title winning Inter until he, yknow, died. Having turned 30 this year he's still got some seasons ahead and frankly the price is right. We've always looked to add a bit of experience and if it can be got for nowt, and his wages aren't a pisstake, it's a dabble. 3

Simoken Posted 28 June 2022 Posted 28 June 2022 absolutely yes, mans pure quality. anyone who thinks otherwise is in need of a brain transplant 3
lgfualol Posted 28 June 2022 Posted 28 June 2022 Gerrrim in, would be a massive boost to the squad and will help make the football we play less of a snoozefest. 2

If a player of serious quality like Eriksen comes on the market and there is a whiff of interest from his side you make your move. This will be the start of the Brenaissance.
Happy Fox Posted 28 June 2022 Posted 28 June 2022 Could help us get top 4 when on song it’s a yes for me. 1
Pliskin Posted 28 June 2022 Posted 28 June 2022 I mean, he will go to United surely? I’d be very surprised if he chose us, unless he feels we offer him the best chance of going to the World Cup in the winter.
GingerrrFox Posted 28 June 2022 Posted 28 June 2022 Genuinely can’t see this happening but if he were to come here, he’s playing deeper at this point in his career and I’d imagine he’d slot into the deep playmaker role next to Ndidi and KDH in the 4-3-3 rather than challenging Maddison and the other attacking players. 1

I think this would be the idea with him. Almost like a high 8 on the left hand side of the three maybe? And Madders would play wide right? 1
