You could well be right here, but it just beggars belief because we ALL knew Congerton was a muppet before we even signed him up. Sometimes you can only just stand and gasp at the rank stupidity on display.

Absolutely Bob on

....we were warned in time at the problems he would bring but we chose to ignore it!!!

Whoever sanctioned him coming is probably the person that keeps on making these bad calls at the club.

He's scored over 20 goals in 2020/21 and the year before got 15+, even last season his goals and assists output is high. I'm very surprised a desperate club hasn't come in for him in the belief thst as their main striker they have someone who can do what many can't and score regularly.

I genuinely thought he’d be the player Newcastle came sniffing about for not Madders

they have delusions of grandeur now, they want our best players not fringe. No matter how logical the move would be

Amazed at the apparent lack of interest in Iheanacho from other clubs, given his goal and assist record for us. Surely we could get £15m for him (just don't think we need 3 central strikers as we normally play 1 up front) and about the same for Soumaré (who I think could be an asset, based on his pre season, but who Rodgers is clear not keen on). Then ideally invest that £30m in a winger and get another winger on loan. And that's before we even flog anyone like Fofana or Youri.

Random bit of information I know, the club has rejected around 2-3 offers each summer for the past 2 years for Kelechi.

Not sure on why whether it was the offer or we want to keep him around.

....that just does not sound right!!!

The only way that could be true is if Nacho has turned the offers down himself. Always thought it strange that he was still here, especially the way we play with one up top. If he is happy with how his career is going then fine.

... his Bank balance is going fine that's probably all that matters to him!

I’m surprised he’s not had much of a look in so far. I would have brought him on instead of Daka on Sat as he provides more midfield link up and presence up front, which we clearly missed

I would have bought either him or daka on for vardy, and swapped Ndidi for Praet putting KDH and Tielemens infront iof the defense. Awful tactics *still angry*

I read he wanted to stay, not sure if that's true

I find that surprising because not once has there ever been a reported offer in the media and baring in mind the Nigerian press leak many stories first about Iheanacho and Ndidi before we find out in the British press, they'd have caught wind of at least one of them.

Same source from previous information I have received, found it hard to believe myself but been spot on so far.

I like having Kelechi around

I do when he’s actually used! Same is happening with soyuncu who I’ve been told has been lost and a bit of a loner in training without cengiz but he confirmed as much in that interview he had!

To be fair, our issue is nothing to do with FFP (we're very comfortably compliant). It's that we've no space in the squad.

Well that’s a new take on it, many think we’re at 105% so where is your info coming from?

We were only at 105% because of deferred payments from the pandemic. However the new FFP rules isn't just wages to turnover, its wages and transfers to turnover so I can see why we'll be looking to quickly cut things.

He’s definitely had offers, I was told if he was gone CDK would’ve been brought in

....without revealing too much, was it someone at the club? or someone who knows someone!!!

I felt CDK upfront would have resolved our whole system and would have been the final piece to link everything together. His not coming here was a big miss.

Someone at the club, very much involved with that side of things

I've always suspected that it was between him and Praet to leave. Looks like it will be Bouba as per Percy's tweet.

Still think one of Perez or Praet goes too before 1st Sep

Perez looks most likely

Shame there was not a ‘Give-back’ clause in the transfer contract we drew up with Newcastle.
