Quality shown through in the end. Think it's a blessing in disguise that we don't have Europe this season, we'd be using half this team in a lot of the European games, combine that with the World Cup and we'd be struggling.

We absolutely destroyed them. Dominated from start to finish, some of the one-twos between Amartey and Vestergaard were sublime. Thats what 150m+ of talent on the pitch gets you.

As good a friendly as any I’ve been to over the years. Great atmosphere for a game of this type and support was superb. Praet best player on the pitch for long spells in my opinion.

I think dala should play first 60mins of games... vardy on for last 30 when things get stretched.  Thst way round the defenders shit themselves

He whiffed on an easy clearance with an attacker in front of him.  Forced himself to make a good save.

 

The type of thing you laugh off in a pre-season friendly, but as a City fan it lodges in your memory, and will eventually cause PTSD.

Just symptomatic of a young keeper switching off at the end of a pre-season game that had already been won.

 

He'll learn. Rodgers and Davies will drill it into him after that but he would know already, you'd hope.

 

It's certainly not worth getting too worked up about though. A good loan in the Championship will tell us what he's really made of.
