Castagne over Pereira for me

Not much in it really is there. Think this will be a half decent battle for this position this season.

Can't see them risking tielemans if we're trying to sell him

He's still our player, he's a professional, he's paid to do his job. 2 goals, 2 assists and he can bring back offers. People with other jobs hand notices of leave and they're still trying their best. Unless you mean we can't a risk an injury that will destroy any chances of a move. But this again is hypothetical.

If he starts in the 1st XI and he doesn't care, fine him one month's wages.

Little to dispute here.   Perhaps Castagne would get the nod.

Is it possible that there may be a different keeper?

Even if we sign Madueke or similar they won't be ready.

I want to see that Rodgers really has changed, and that he's willing to be more adventurous in our playing style and team selection. We do not need to go into Brentford at home playing Ndidi. Now I love the guy, I've said for years that he's the most important piece in our midfield, and he will be this season if we have any ambitions of getting into Europe, but there are games against the lesser sides where we have to demonstrate our qualities, like we have done actually during pre-season.

                      Kasper

Castagne  Fofana   Evans   Justin

              Tielemans  KDH

Praet            Maddison         Barnes

                       Vardy

Harsh on Soumare, who I feel deserves to be given a start over Youri. But Tielemans get's the nod because of the pre-season performances of Castagne and especially Praet.

I can’t see it being anything but this, and it’s a really exciting first 11 that can compete with any team

With 5 subs this season I think it’ll really benefit players like Ricardo and our right flank. Madders can play inverted drifting inside allowing Ricardo/Castagne to own the right wing, but after 65 minutes of lung busting work it’s an easy switch without worrying too much about wasting a tactical sub

Let be positive, we had a strong finish to last season and the last time we had that was in the Springtime of 2015. The main difference will be no new players called Kante and Kante.

The Castagne/Praet/Tielemans partnership ripped Derby  (okay, I know, Derby) to shreds down one wing whilst JJ, KDH and Barnes did the same to Preston on the other wing - which is why FoxyLeon's side is potentially so darned good. Still got all the main players (the glue to hold it together) in the spine of the team - and a threat on each wing. Could it be we don't need that RW? Ndidi/Soumare on the bench if needed.

Don’t be daft, they will struggle this season. We will have too much for them. Piss easy 3-0 win.

.... and Frank will tell us that we were lucky.

Iversen, Soyuncu, Justin, Mendy, Praet, Albrighton, Daka or Iheanacho to be used as and when, only if necessary (obviously only up to five of them).

Anything can happen in 2 weeks but I'd be tempted with starting Daka instead of Vardy for this and then start Vardy at Arsenal.

As others said it’s not 3 days apart and unless he’s injured…Vardy is starting.

What I am looking forward to though is a high press from the off….Brentford are bang average and I have an irrational disdain for them 🤦🏻‍♂️🤷🏻‍♂️

....I think what @RowlattsFoxis looking at is using Daka in the less competitive games, giving him more game time!!!

Would rather win than risk a draw/loss with Daka starting. He’s not ready to be starting in the premier league opening weekend. Let’s play our best team when we can, and we could end up back in Europe. Patson isn’t our long term Vardy replacement, let’s make the most of Jamie whilst we have him - this could be the last season.

....not saying I agreed with starting with Daka, just that it was obvious what he meant!!!

Daka at the moment doing shuttle runs in front of the opposition's backline but causing little trouble making a nuisance of himself. He does need support, from players around him, as he can lay the ball off with one touch or back heel to an incoming runner. He can be a livewire, if he has to play up front on his own, he needs support.
