The first half proved to me that we can’t used Iversen as a number one. His distribution is nowhere near good enough.

He certainly doesn't stay stuck to his line. I thought he was going to just join in the attack a few times!

Based on today's performance I might even play Soumare ahead of Ndidi, not that he was particularly Good.

It can't possibly be based "on today's performance" because Soumare did f-all tonight...

I don’t think he really cares about minute’s, happy just to be around the squad

...I don't think that is the case, no one is happy when they are not playing!!!

He came on in the OHL game and as usual, he starts to drop into the #10 area and looks good. He really hasn't got a role at this club where we call upon him as the number one, his first touch can be hit and miss and there are times when he does look, top class.

He will always be the one on the side, but he has never agitated to leave, and I do not believe he is happy about the situation, it is, however,  the way this team has evolved, he was supposed to have been playing up front with Vardy.

...hard to tell the difference between him and Kasper, they have both been coached to play the same way!!!

Poor with the ball at their feet, kicking the ball out of play, trying to hit the wingback tight on the touchline, it is what he has been told to do, and following instructions.

Havn't learned from playing Spanish opposition last season.

We need Wasilewski on the pitch for such games as an insurance threat. Any nastiness, big Marcin has you in his sights!

Reasonable performance but I’m sure one of the commentators said this is the Seville second string ??

Agree about not playing teams like this preseason as it just isn’t worth the risk of players getting injured. ..  but Ricardo just seemed to pull up.

Vardy  looked way off to me ..  no pace and never looked like scoring ..  don’t know if all that sh1t with his missus has affected him ..

Give Iverson a real go in the team ..  he got rave reviews when out on loan ..

That was a third-string Sevilla side which didn't (and shouldn't have) posed any threat to us. None of their best players played and that Ivan Romero dude is the worst forward I've seen in a while.

We played some decent stuff, but hard to say where we are until the real games begin next week. The only thing to note is that Maddison still can't cross, whether in open play or from a set piece.

That all sounds negative, but it isn't meant to be. Just glad pre-season is nearly over and we can go again!

Sevilla have mixed up the squad, as they played Arsenal a few days before. Neither squads had first / second teams officially.

Ndidi is the main concern and then Vardy. Ndidi was just bad to be honest and hope he finds hes form finally, because its already been more than 18 months he is bellow he high standarts

Ocampos is their best player

1) Can’t believe the attendance was so poor

2) We completely dominated play - either we’re amazing or Sevilla weren’t trying (or a bit of both)

3) We were wasteful with our finishing

4) Disappointed we didn’t get to see any youngsters, but I suppose that’s not what the game was about

5) Praet is still class

6) I’ve got a feeling Daka has moved up a level

5) Praet did look good when he was on and has done during this years pre season. Think at the minute he’d be my first choice option on the right hand side.

6) I agree with thought he looked good yesterday and is another to have had a good pre season. May just be rustiness but thought we looked more dangerous with Daka up top instead of Vards.

Other points:

 - Fofana looked a class above, has it all.

 - Ndidi looked rusty but probably to be expected.
 - Soumaré has looked decent last couple of games. But whether that’s because he pushing for a move who knows.
 - I actually thought we looked more balanced in midfield before Youri came on. And would love to see us stick with Wilf, KDH and Maddison in midfield. Think playing slightly deeper suited KDH as well, and has a better engine than Youri.
 - We desperately need another winger. When Barnes went off we had no one who could stretch the game/ take a man on. Ideally we need a couple of our CM’s out and a winger in at a minimum before the window closes imo. Too unbalanced at the minute

Does anyone else think that we have stopped literally every attack having to come from the wings? It was almost if Rodgers demand this was how we played and yet yesterday we seemed to be far more 'aware' of playing balls into the channels for people to run out to?

Last season at times you could easily see where playing a ball into Vardy in between 3 centre backs or beween centre backs and wing backs was the ideal pass but the ball always went out to the wing and was almost regimental in this approach and it often gave the opposition time to regroup and close down our players and we also far far too predictable. Yesterday to me was a breath of fresh air in some respects from an attacking perspective. It gives us so many different options when we play like that.

One thing I noticed is we seem to press higher, more aggressively and quicker.

The absence of European football this season will mean we will be able to do that more in the league.

Combined with a healthy squad touch wood.

Our club are too nice from top to bottom, why do we play these dirty feisty sides? Only hope it’s to try and give us more European nous when the going gets tough.

The problem is how the games are reffed as well. Bookings aren’t dished out like they will be come the weekend and for a hour the Ref was very lenient, especially with the cynical little fouls stopping our breaks.  We basically didn’t get the protection you’d get in the Prem league. Some of the dirty fouls in that second half were horrendous for a so called friendly.  Leave playing Spanish sides in friendly games from now on.
