I've never really liked Dyche as a bloke but that's mainly because of his obsession with us and 'money'.

In a managerial sense I'm not sure why people write him off. Yes he had a certain style at Burnley but he also had certain personal and a very, very limited budget. There's nothing to say he can't play better football with a more technically, attack-minded team is there?

Would love for us to at least try and attempt to go for a manager from outside of England:

AVB, Gallardo, Marcelino, Fischer, Glasner, Gasperini, Genesio, Slot

But I expect it would be one of the more uninspired ex-prem Managers:

Dyche, Lage, Benitez, Hassnhuttl

It’s got to be Dyche. I’m all for foreign managers look at villa and wolves since they have got one! But in our case I’d be worried and I’m not sure why! GET DYCHE IN!

Looking at our previous appointments, it'll likely only be someone who has Premier League experience. Looking at the suggestions, and whoever else I can think of, I'm not enthused at all. How has it come to this! :nono:

So on Twitter, West Ham, Everton and Leicester fans think Dyche is the answer. Lots just saying ‘Dyche till the end of the season’. If he is so in demand, why would he just take something till the end of the season? He’s going to get as much out of his next contract as he can.

I’d take Dyche now. What we need is safe right now and he’s the safest option I can see out there.

We have a decent squad (certainly not anywhere near relegation standard) and they need a lift and a refresh from this banal, predictable style that has just gone so stale.

Dyche would, I think, make us a little more direct, instil a little more fight and give the confidence of the players a bit of a lift.

Agreed.

Totally get the groan by some at the thought of this, but I really want to stay a Premier League team, and I just think this squad needs an old fashioned kick up the arse to get going again, which is exactly what you get from Dyche. I also think certain players will really buy into his character and mentality.

The other thing is, he is available to walk in the door tomorrow if needed, and obviously watching games each week. He knows many of the players and characters in our squad and also knows the league inside out.

I am sure there are foreign managers out there that could get us going again too, but it does feel slightly more a roll of the dice with going that route for the short-term. With how things are going though, I'd be happy with nearly anyone coming in, just for the sake of change!

Kompany.

Turned over players and playing style in a rapid time at Burnley.

Honest question...

Do you really think he'd leave Burnley for us?

I'm 99% positive he wouldn't.

Potter, when Chelsea sack him.

Potter isn't jumping straight from Chelsea to us inside the next week or two. We need a new manager now.

If Potter does get the sack in the next few weeks, he won't be returning until the summer.

Part of me thinks it's a horrible time for someone to come in given the fixtures we have, but the other part thinks it can't happen soon enough, and maybe a new man could pick something up against Villa or Spurs.

It really depends if we'd back him. Burnley's budget is tiny, even compared to us. Their facilities are barely Championship standard. If he's promised funds, on top of having a step up in training and tactical facilities, he's got to be tempted. Also timing. Approach him now and we're still relatively attractive. With our upcoming fixtures, wait a month and we're adrift.

To the ‘who would you want instead’ clowns littered within our support… it’s not our job to work that out.. but I know for a fact that this guy is killing the club

Jesus, have we dropped so much that we couldn't tempt a manager away from Burnley? He could keep us up, have money/squad rebuild with one of the finest training academies around.
