I have a feeling king power may be selling up would make sense in the lack lister attitudes and ppl wanting to leave, kasper also said he wouldn't like to see anyone but kP run lcfc I think there's something in that and why he left so suddenly

Kasper was allowed to leave because of his obscene wages, and his desire to play in Europe……

If king power were having thoughts about selling up then I wouldn’t expect to see apichet attending the second game of the season at home to soton …..

premier league football clubs are going to be absolute cash cows within the next ten years as live coverage ends up being streamed.  No current owner would take risks on missing out on that unless they had no choice (abramovich)

There has been a major overreaction to the “finances”….

Its probably more like, we’ve not got Europe, wasted millions last window, have an over inflated wage bill. It doesn’t help having a ball bag as a manager who wants to sign shit like Ryan Bennett and Bertrand.

Thats probably why the owners aren’t wanting to invest in Brendan at the moment.

This. I think the UEFA Financial Fair Play limit this (or next) year was 90% wages to turnover, which I don’t think we met: it’s probably just trying to get it under that figure, just in case we get into Europe like. 😬

I do think that very soon Top, Susan or even the mute Jon Rudkin are going to need to come out and explain what's happening. I don't expect the whole truth or massive detail but there's is going to be huge pressure and dismay and it'll all land on Brendan who if they can't afford to pay off will get too much for the club to ignore.

Top was saying in Thailand only last month he expected us to still get the business we want to do done, he had no need to say that as he wasn't talking directly to our fanbase or the footballing media. It's all very odd.

The 250m of debt thing  was being spread around by completely knowledgeless Chelsea fans earlier in the week, just something that goes Chinese whisper-style around the net until so many have mentioned it, it must be true. As others have said, nothing in a club's finances can be hidden these days.

It's the first time in years that they haven't had the most debt in the Premier league since the forced sale cleaned the slate for them. It's probably just one of those they have that much debt they will have to sell Fofana on the cheap kind of rumours.... all BS.

Congleton who was head of recruitment  and has fecked off to Atalanta  needs to take some blame for this.

However as much as Susan Whelan has done wonders for the club the pay structure  here is completely  out of proportion  to a club of our stature.

No wonder none of the players like Beryrand,Vestergaard  etc can be outsourced as no one can afford them.

We are PROPER fecked, and the fans just dont realise the magnitude of it yet..

We spent most of that last summer on a giant moron, his left back mate and two league 1 players

You're about two seasons out with where the money was spent, Maguire left in 2019. But yes, it was spent on other players.

How would you hide £250m debt? And how would that even come about?

Sounds like bullshit to me, unless there has been some major levels of fraudulent accounting going on.

Probably a misinterpretation of these Macquarie charges. Although they clearly aren’t good.

With the amount of rubbish players we have, on high wages, there is no doubt we have fraudulent accountants lol

If this was the case then Wes would have gone for 70m and Madders for 50m when the offers were on the table, debt halved. Your mate sounds like the “knowledgeable” bloke we sometimes come across in the pub who has read all the headlines and contrived it into a convincing story of woe for anyone that will listen.

I give this as much credence as the OP in fairness.

Keith has had enough credence. Oh, sorry. I’m confusing Penis and credence.

FFP is playing a part but the theory they don't trust Rodgers with more money is very plausible. Three of the four permanent signings from last year aren't involved at all now and we can't keep wasting good cash.

Nah hopefully just the 30 million by about 12pm.

It’s sickening. Can’t we just let him have Tielemans? Kills two birds with 1 stone

Just placed £50 on us to go down. Happy to give Big Susan my winnings to help keep the club afloat in the Chammo next season. Cheers.

What odds are we currently. I got 14s in ore season lol

The finances are undoubtedly out of kilter with our turnover. We’ve rolled the dice on needing European football and failed. We aren’t the first and we won’t be the last. We’re not exactly in the same financial situation as Leeds or Wimbledon (as long as everything has been declared as pee our audited accounts).

From the talk, we still have aspirations to lay more stable foundations and our borrowing has been more Seagrave and the expansion of Freeman’s Wharf.

Our debt is largely adding to our tangible assets with potential growth value, as it’s property. The details of the loan are here: Link

We have borrowed monies to fund this against future TV revenue, and the potential offset is we sacrifice parachute payments if we plummet to the Championship.

If, and it’s a major if, we were to go under, we are owned by King Power International and a large proportion of the   debt is owed to them.

Our last set of finances are here Link
