Someone more rational than me, tell me what the best play is here for the club. Is dropping him and making him train with the U21's whilst rejecting bids for him going to end well for us? I don't see this behaviour making Chelsea come back for him now, but I do see us absolutely fcuked coke September 2nd. Please someone liquidate us.

Don't see how Wes plays for the club again after this, bridges burned down etc.

If Chelsea doesn't bid enough. Throw him in the U21 until he publicly apologises for his childish behaviour. Let him rot there until his contract runs out to teach a lesson to anyone else who wants to mess the club about.

Already posted this earlier, but it's easy.

I can get on board with that, I am very scared of him having to sit down with a man whose going to try and sell a conservatory to a man with a sweat problem.

Signed a 5 year contract ffs. This is turning into Mahrez mark 2. We should keep the price at 75 million or so and see what happens. if he doesn’t play ball and grow up he isn’t getting in the France world cup team.

He did this when Puel managed him so I don’t think a future buyer will trust the guy.

He’ll just do this to Chelsea in 4 years time when Real Madrid come calling.

We should include a sell-on clause.

At this stage I'd probably want it to be Evans or Maddison, because I wouldn't trust Rodgers or Rudkin not to mess it up.

Address it, get him on board, get him to do a stupid punishment and move on with the season. I can imagine Rodgers making snidey comments all the time and just making it more awkward though.

To add what I wrote earlier the club can give him a weeks deadline to apolgise or he won't play until after the world cup effectively ruining his chances of making the France squad.

Mahrez did at least still put in the effort for us when played. Yeah he acted up but at least he played when asked to and put in a shift from what I remember, he wasn’t this bad.

There’s no coming back from this, sadly we’ll accept £70-£75 now I feel.

It’s a shame the value is so high, would love to see a club just relegate someone to the U23’s for 5 years, but with the money being talked it’s impossible to do so

It's standard though, eh. Come deadline day, he either trots off to Chelsea because they finally meet the valuation - which is pretty likely given he's agreed terms with them. Failing that, the club, player and agent all know that he'll then have to get back to training, put up with some piss taking from the squad, and work to win over the booing fans. None of this stuff happening atm is going to have any long term impact, it's all about short term manoeuvring.

Emotions are high at the moment and some people think the world is crumbling when emotions are high. Once enough time passes and emotions are died down, there's still room for Fofana in the squad and an opportunity for him to get another season under his belt before a big move.

I think announcing to everyone how he's acting and what's going on behind the scenes is going to make it very hard to integrate him back in (fan wise) if we don't seĺl him.

Yeah definitely. Mahrez practically lived at East Midlands Airport departure lounge towards the end of his time here and still played
