Don't see how Wes plays for the club again after this, bridges burned down etc.
Popular Post Mark_w Posted 23 August 2022 Popular Post Posted 23 August 2022 I am definitely spiteful enough that I'd enjoy 5 years of him training with the U21s. 5 1
Preston Fox Posted 23 August 2022 Posted 23 August 2022 Well if the t&@t doesn’t want to train then I’m sure he’ll be fine with not getting paid his obscene wages 2
Fightforever Posted 23 August 2022 Posted 23 August 2022 If Chelsea doesn't bid enough. Throw him in the U21 until he publicly apologises for his childish behaviour. Let him rot there until his contract runs out to teach a lesson to anyone else who wants to mess the club about. 3
blueharmie Posted 23 August 2022 Posted 23 August 2022 I've always hated his ears if truth be told. 4

oxtonfox Posted 23 August 2022 Posted 23 August 2022 Signed a 5 year contract ffs. This is turning into Mahrez mark 2. We should keep the price at 75 million or so and see what happens. if he doesn’t play ball and grow up he isn’t getting in the France world cup team. He did this when Puel managed him so I don’t think a future buyer will trust the guy.
Wasyls Pec Deck Posted 23 August 2022 Posted 23 August 2022 He’ll just do this to Chelsea in 4 years time when Real Madrid come calling. 1 1

At this stage I'd probably want it to be Evans or Maddison, because I wouldn't trust Rodgers or Rudkin not to mess it up. Address it, get him on board, get him to do a stupid punishment and move on with the season. I can imagine Rodgers making snidey comments all the time and just making it more awkward though.
Fightforever Posted 23 August 2022 Posted 23 August 2022 To add what I wrote earlier the club can give him a weeks deadline to apolgise or he won't play until after the world cup effectively ruining his chances of making the France squad. 1

Yeah he acted up but at least he played when asked to and put in a shift from what I remember, he wasn’t this bad. 1

What we cannot afford to do is let Chelsea in cahoots with Fofana drive down our asking price. We should send a message to all clubs that this won’t work when dealing with us. We should also let Fofana know that his World Cup place is slipping further away with behaviour like this. 6
Onions Posted 23 August 2022 Posted 23 August 2022 There’s no coming back from this, sadly we’ll accept £70-£75 now I feel. It’s a shame the value is so high, would love to see a club just relegate someone to the U23’s for 5 years, but with the money being talked it’s impossible to do so 1
Popular Post ousefox Posted 23 August 2022 Popular Post Posted 23 August 2022 We're still in a strong position. Him and his agent are trying to weaken it with these antics but he has to stay and perform if we don't sell him or he'll never get his move. We can afford to keep to our valuation. 6
Popular Post kyleolly Posted 23 August 2022 Popular Post Posted 23 August 2022 Loan him out to Bristol City if Chelski don't come up with a decent offer let Nige have him for the season 1 2 6

Come deadline day, he either trots off to Chelsea because they finally meet the valuation - which is pretty likely given he's agreed terms with them. Failing that, the club, player and agent all know that he'll then have to get back to training, put up with some piss taking from the squad, and work to win over the booing fans. None of this stuff happening atm is going to have any long term impact, it's all about short term manoeuvring. 4
filbertway Posted 23 August 2022 Posted 23 August 2022 Emotions are high at the moment and some people think the world is crumbling when emotions are high. Once enough time passes and emotions are died down, there's still room for Fofana in the squad and an opportunity for him to get another season under his belt before a big move. 1 2
Popular Post Tielemans63 Posted 23 August 2022 Popular Post Posted 23 August 2022 (edited) Also, absolutely **** Chelsea and their role in all of this. The tapping up, the unsettling tactics, the lowballling. Absolutely ****ing shithouse of a club. Desperately hope PSG swoop in and he goes there. Best case scenario there. Would ****ing love that. I think announcing to everyone how he's acting and what's going on behind the scenes is going to make it very hard to integrate him back in (fan wise) if we don't seĺl him.

Mahrez practically lived at East Midlands Airport departure lounge towards the end of his time here and still played 2
