I know we don’t want this but I’m affraid this has the new Leicester city all over it. Everyone wants this to be agent talk. We will sign this guy! Stinks of our new model and its very depressing!

How confident are we that Madders isn't going to swept away at the first sign of a £60m offer before Thursday deadline? Was he really injured last weekend? Perhaps Harit is his replacement?

I am very confident that none of these things are true.

When I first glanced at this post I read that the Forest owner had been in court got burglary, and obviously the thought of that fat knacker breaking and entering made me laugh. If what you’ve said is true how the hell did he pass as a fit and proper person?!

He was in court but cleared. He's been in court a lot for those type of things. Just an unfortunate guy I guess.

I’m not confident about anything!

Well we have just opened contract talks with Madison, wonder how that's going?

Been quiet since the Newcastle interest.

0 chance of this happening.

Must have done there research, everyone righting him off straight away and nobody knows anything about him. The Leicester way.

Like with the Vestergaard, Bertrand, Soumare and Perez deals?

The Leicester way = move away from a working model, do the complete opposite to what everyone can see sensible transfers. Undoing a lot of progress in 18 months. Baffling

Its not 1996... players don't just show up and sign with no way of knowing anything about them.

In this day and age, a 30 second Google search will tell me his height, weight, his best friend's name, his career thus far, his stats at each club and more importantly... we are able to watch his highlights in abundance which are mightily unimpressive.

Admittedly, none of that information can tell us definitively if he will succeed here but certainly enough to have an opinion. Especially on a platform designed for fans to do so.

Honestly never seen him play so know nothing abut him. What is worrying is that no club wants to get rid of their best players, especially when there in the relegation zone like Schalke. Yet they're desperate for him to leave, just like us and Vesty. Doesn't sound good and he's a midfielder, something we have in abundance. Another Perez & Praet signing, shoehorned on the RW.

All you need to know about the 'quality' of this guy is that he can't even get in the first XI of a newly promoted club that is struggling in the Bundesliga. The fact that he seems like a 'wrong un' off the pitch only makes our apparent interest in him even more baffling.

I reckon if Callum Wight had played for the same clubs he'd have a similar record

Always going to be a negative opinion though I’m not that over joyed about it but we’ll have to see how he gets on. They let Fuchs go who again most didn’t rate him and look how that turned out.

Seeing on socials that this guy is coming in as cover for Praet. I’d rather us give Barkley a 1 year deal to be honest.

Just the personality we need in the squad

When has Barkley ever been labelled difficult?

I doubt it, he’s had his massive pay day and will just be looking to get his career on track. Plus I think with loan fees and wages it would be similar.

Barkley makes much more sense and I hope the club are looking at it.

Is that a serious statement? The bloke is literally of the Dele Alli, Danny Drinkwater ilk. Be amazed if hes still playing football in 2 years time
