If this was genuinely about grief and mourning they would give people paid time off work too and refund their match tickets, train tickets, hotels and petrol money, especially given how hard up many people are right now
 

Cancelling people’s leisure plans while still making them go to work is the exact opposite of respect and mourning.

 

Never really considered myself either a monarchy or republican, but this whole thing has got me swinging towards republicanism. The only result of this I can see is people getting frustrated and annoyed at the institution.

You don’t understand why people aren’t mad, when in the middle of a cost of living crisis, people are told to still go to work but get their leisure activities taken away?

As some journos have pointed out, you’d think an organisation of this manner would have contingency plans. Particularly given the recent covid lockdown. They’ve hung their hopes on the government making a decision for them who in a continuing trend, just shrug their shoulders

Once again fans suffer, I'm not cold but the queen was a special lady. But the idea of cancelling match because death of 96 year old lady just is bizarre. Everyone is sad of course, but we now must sit at home and do nothing... Strange country we live in! hope the non league pyramid takes the opportunity to carry on... doubt they will.
