Nope! 

 

As much as I also want Iversen in and perhaps Soyuncu there's not a chance in hell Rodgers changes his keeper AND brings in the defender he has alienated for the same game. 

 

Soyuncu's next game is the Newport one most likely. Unless there's a severe injury crisis.

Yes agreed, and doesn’t that highlight how ridiculous Rodger’s  pronouncement that Ward was the No.1 and will be the first choice goalkeeper before the season started.

 

Surely that demotivates both Ward to some extent who knows he’ll play regardless, and Iverson who now thinks he’s wasting his time sitting on the bench, again regardless ! 

 

The short arsed twat has painted himself into a corner on this point, let alone all his other bullshit. 
 

I really have to question the blokes sanity with what’s gone on in the last 12 months.

I can't understand what's happening in Rodgers brain. I'm on the verge questioning that he has a valid manager's diploma. 

He’s played well on the right plenty of times, but he drifts inside and all of our full-backs are too attacking and essentially end of playing as the right winger leaving us with so much space to be attacked into down that side.

 

The likes of Zaha and Eze will have a field day.

 

Mahrez used to do the same - play on the right but drift inside a lot so he essentially played as a number 10, but we countered it by having Danny Simpson who always stayed back as a right back so it didn’t open up space, Albrighton on the other wing who was a very defensive winger and would drop back and help out the midfield and Okazaki who would also drop back into the midfield a lot.
 

Rodgers is refusing to do any of that atm and refusing to balance Maddison’s free role.

 

Atm we’ve got Maddison drifting inside abd the likes of Castagne, Justin or Ricardo behind him who bomb forward and essentially become the right wingers leaving us with a massive hole on the right side of our defence

That first line up is so obvious it’s a crime it won’t be considered.

 

Obviously would have to be KDH/Soumare for Wilf but still…

It simply amazes me that we as amateur managers can see this (and obviously  opposition managers must see it too)  but this fool cant or wont change!

 

This is the thing l think makes me and others so angry with Rodgers - his pig headed refusal to change or adapt.

Or even to recognise the clear deficiency in his tactics.

Frankly I'm losing any flickering hope now.

That's fairly grim either way, with Justin or KDH in either side. Unfortunately we don't have many options, though I'd be tempted to give Thomas a go if we're playing four at the back as he can't be any worse than Justin.

....Ward is the new Perez, he forked out a pretty penny and sought to justify it by playing him in every game!!!

Now he is lucky to get on the pitch, with no great talent before him except Maddison being pushed out there.
