Five games to go until the World Cup break.

Leeds (H)

Wolves (A)

Man City (H)

Everton (A)

West Ham (A)

Realistically, there's probably only 1-3 points there and that's with Thursday's game.

Man City is a total write off. A shame as previous seasons I'd have seen us at least give them some kind of game and make it difficult for them.

Everton and Wolves aren't generally places we do well in. West Ham play on the front foot and are pretty much opposite to us.

A new manager bounce might help us with the 3 away games, but even I'm not that hopeful a change will be made in time :(

Could be pretty bleak by the time we come back from World Cup, and there's Newcastle and Liverpool to play...

If Rodgers is still here for all of them then we will struggle to get more than 4 points. No chance of anything vs Man City or West Ham. Everton we'll get a draw at best and Wolves away is never a nice place for us, pur best chance of a win is vs Leeds which then means he gets the other 3-4 games anyway which is just torture.

I'm going to be optimistic and say 5 points.

Beat Leeds, draw with Wolves and Everton and lose to Man City and West Ham.

What a depressing state we are in. Games in which you would usually expect us to win are now looking as if we won’t get anything. I’d be very surprised if we get anything more than 4 points from the 5.

I think that’s about right ric. 10 points at the break looks about the best we can hope for

Beat Leeds

Lose to Wolves

5-0+ battering by Man City

Lucky draw at Everton

Lose to West Ham

Oh and we will also lose on penalties to Newport after 0-0 in 90 mins, with no academy players in the match squad

9 points from a possible 45 / 15 games and out of the Carabao going into the World Cup

"The Next Five" should have started at Forest where we targeted 10 points from the games leading up to the Man City game.

It should have been as simple as "don't hit that target, you're gone"

It's still possible, but it won't happen.

I think 4 points from 5 games.  Which would put us on 9 points from 15 games at the break. Which is, absolutely abysmal.  But it's not Derby abysmal, so we should accept that and keep Rodgers, because we should be grateful for anything apparently.

If we get beaten by Leeds, I can't see us winning any of them to be honest, we have been so poor this year and have not seen anything much to suggest we have turned a corner.
