We did our best and nearly sneaked a point for it. Really lacking some offensive firepower. France is just full of freaks of nature with speed and physicality; very strong contenders for the whole thing.

At least we got a goal to cheer.

Australia game will define this world cup for us, but really do not feel a Danish Dynamite winter coming.

It did feel like a better performance than against Tunisia, but the squad just seems like it's not firing this time. Considering the ease with which we qualified, playing some good stuff in the Nations League too, I'm surprised at the stuttering performances so far.

I wasn't impressed by Australia today and on paper should be the easiest game - but I thought that four years ago as well...

If we can't beat neither Tunisia or Australia, we only deserve a plane home. We still have a solid and well coached team, but we lack some spark.

You’d be a fine team if you had a decent centre forward.

Kind of ironic how Sweden and Norway have absolute top strikers, but average to poor players around them and Denmark is the opposite. If Haaland or Ibrahimovic had Danish passports, we'd be a very strong side.

Realistically probably two if he stays injury free. Assuming he gets at least a couple more in this world cup it's definitely possible.

It's a bit luck of the draw really isn't it. Literally. Depends who they get in their groups in the future.

El Salvador and Botswana in 2026. He's laughing. He'll have it sewn up by 27.

I've never really thought about this before but watching a match with the radio commentary is kinda... weird.

Obviously the commentator has to really describe everything a lot more clearly on radio so when it's on TV it really feels like stating the obvious.

This Denmark team is wet dynamite. Thought we were better, but this is proper lacklustre. When Andreas Christensen is your best player against Australia we deserve nothing. Meh.

Look how much France have rotated their team knowing they are through. That is elite mentality unlike Southgate

If we had done that there would doubtless be a million people whinging about it anyway.

Both games are pretty poor to be honest.

France are mediocre, understandable given the rotation.

Tunisia don't have enough going forward, lacking quality.

Denmark are comfortable, but their attacking issues showing once again.

Australia struggling to get any control in the game, but Ryan hasn't had any big saves to make.

It started promising with lots of movement, fast passing and good attacking positions, but it's bewildering how comfortable Australia have been. Very frustrating.

It seems odd to me that as a nation you haven't created a decent striker since JDT, which is what? 12 years?

This would have been possible - had we beaten the USA.

I hope we get through. Mostly for the recognition it'd have in Australia and perhaps inspire more kids to stick with football than switch to rugby AFL etc in their late teens.

Will be a tense 2nd half
