Am I missing something? The side on angle shows part of the ball still covering the line, therefore still in play. Why are they still banging on?

Soain manufactured that.

You Would rather lose and play Morocco than Croatia.

Hope Morocco crush them.

I love the idea that Spain orchestrated this result to finish 2nd, I suppose because people think they'd rather go to our side of the draw - but I bet these same people think we're utter crap because we drew with the USA and only beat little old Wales and Iran, and there's no way we would beat Spain or France? The logic some people use is astounding

You're making a whole raft of assumptions there and constructing your own narrative. Did they plan this? Not a chance. But will this result upset them? I highly doubt it.

Neville does know he isn't talking about United right?

Bloke genuinely can’t help it. Just like Carragher.

"Intentional or not" - fact is this result will have given Spain an - on paper for what it's worth - easier route to the semifinal.

It is not, but yes good on them, and if they make the semi final I won’t say it’s because they had it easy either. It is never easy

That's not what I said. But if I was Spain's manager, I'd want to avoid Croatia and Brazil in that side of the draw. This result achieves just that. Intentional or not, this will ironically increase Spain's chance of winning.

Yes, they'd much rather be on the side with france, england and probably Portugal.

If they play like that against any of those sides they're going home. Morocco will be up for it now too.

Possibly photoshopped?..

Seriously, only 0.01% of the ball led to this final decision.

For sure. I will concede that this World Cup has made a mockery of favourites and seedings.

I was just making the point that on paper this result is not one that we can read much into at this point.

Much like Argentina's defeat to the Saudis.

If Spain get dumped out by Morocco, then fair play. I would still fancy Spain higher here than against Croatia.
