I think the resale platform works well but as its limited to 3 goes it certainly challenges me - not because I can't be bothered going to games but living 50 miles away midweek games are an absolute nightmare. Take into account family holidays/weddings etc you can go over the 3 limit without much difficulty. I've missed a couple of midweeks already (resold on the platform) so statistically I'm likely to go over 3 by the end of the season. The Villa game will be midweek for example.

One solution may be to average resales over a longer period say 10 over 2 seasons - appreciate that may be hard to administer but most ST's hold their ST's for more than 2 years.

Overall I know the score when I renew so my loss but don't like seeing empty seats.

There is a season ticket resale platform on lcfc.com, they sound out an email to let you know when it's open

I know, I've used it.

Say a couple want to take their two U16 kids to a one-off league match for a treat, or to see if they like it enough to go more regularly.  A bog standard Cat B match in the Kop is going to set them back £222 (£126 for tickets and £96 for memberships).  I think that's out of order.

It's the greed of the modern game. Our club unfortunately and willingly takes part.

Guess the only good thing to come out of this is that people are aware of the consequences of what seems a trivial thing to do.

That's what i was thinking, i know every fan should know the rules, but, as i've found out in the past there's rules upon rules,  the fact the ticket has been sold here for not a lot of money , leads you to think it's a genuine mistake, i think a slap on the wrist would have been more fitting.

memberships aren't really a gamble anymore are they. I got both my kids memberships last year, there wasn't one game i couldn't get tickets for that i wanted. For the bigger games i just made sure i was online at 8am. We've now got enough points this season where even for the bigger games i don't have to log on at 8am anymore to be guaranteed 3 tickets next to each other. Not really arguing the point about memberships being a rip off or whatever, but they're certainly far from a gamble these days

I would offer a resale section for matches that are moved to different days, so Saturdays for most people should be fine but midweeks, Monday nights, Tuesdays after Bank Holidays etc should be available regardless of the amount of times they occur.

I do think STHs genuinely want to attend every game but with kick off changes most weeks it is getting tougher and I would rather be able to give my seat back when I can't attend. If this is the potential outcome then sadly it will remain empty if I can't go.

That's exactly where I am with it. Completely agree.

I'm ****ing crushed. Obviously no refund on this seasons ST and I lose the seat permanently now. I've been there a decade. I was just trying to help someone out. Sounds ridiculous but im absolutely broken. Every 2 weeks I get a bit of a break and some escape. That's now gone.

Have you spoken with the club? Or the people mentioned near the beginning of the thread, I think @CosbehFoxlinked someone who might be able to help?

I'm so sorry for what's happened. :( And no, it doesn't sound ridiculous at all, I think many of us can empathise.

Pretty grim mate, really sorry to hear it. I would definitely put your appeal into the club to explain what’s happened.

Just explain to the club surely they will reverse this?

grow up

...he has a point though!!!

The forum could be viewed as abeting, perhaps the mods have already looked into it and have had legal counselling regarding it.

It should be interesting to hear what the mods have to say in this respect, it does leave them open for punishment and not from the club itself.

Sorry to hear this.No fault of your own @sdb,just seems trying to help someone! At the other end of the scale i sold my tickets for Villa on the resale thing as i couldn't go,then it got cancelled and from what i've heared the only way i'm going to that is to pay full price now!

Agreed, you've signed up and paid for a season ticket then start crying when you don't want to use your season ticket and expect some money back for it from the people who sold you your season ticket lol. Imagine going to my train provider and saying 'i have an annual pass but i didnt use it on wednesday 26th october so i want £7.38 back!! its my right!!' In fact I got fined £238 last year for sharing my annual pass with my wife when the rail provider found out!! Anyway i'll leave railway ranting to another thread

Is your wife call Magda

I get why tickes resale laws are in place, but how come Anfield is filled with hundreds, if not thousands, of tourists every week?

Never seen so many foreign tourists in a single place before.

That can't be above board?

A good number of packages sold by then but yeah there’s a huge black market there. Also common for away ends to have foreigners in at the big grounds because it’s easier to get a ticket that way

Liverpool lost a lot of goodwill with a minority of their supporters when the club began to encourage tourism over real fans in the early 90s

Last year i know a lad st holder who come out the symphony rooms at the Brighton game and had a bit of trouble with some away fan who spat in his face so he banged him out and the police nicked him and got a caution and they reported him to the club and he got a 5match ban.So selling a ticket a 2year ban seams a bit extreme.

.. perhaps unlike us, they have a walk up system as their ground is big enough to accommodate such ideas!!!
