Happy Fox Posted 31 December 2022 Posted 31 December 2022 I have no confidence we will beat them if we play one striker upfront we need to go for the jugular and play two upfront. Fulham are no mugs and they will probably relish playing against us. It’s crazy how they are 8 points ahead of us.
Ric Flair Posted 31 December 2022 Posted 31 December 2022 Lose this and we've 1 point against the top 10 in 10 games this season. That should lead to serious sanctions and possible abolishment from the PL, disgusting.
Pliskin Posted 31 December 2022 Posted 31 December 2022 It is a must win for me. We’ve got to get something to get a bit of confidence back.
FoxTimmy2 Posted 31 December 2022 Posted 31 December 2022 This is the game that will shape the remainder of the season, I really hope Rodgers will address the issues in our defence.
winteriscoming Posted 1 January 2023 Posted 1 January 2023 For the love of god play 2 upfront. That’s not Vardy and nacho or Daka just behind that’s 2 forwards alongside each other.
Chelmofox Posted 1 January 2023 Posted 1 January 2023 (edited) Think this will be like the palace game earlier in the season. 0-0 and very cagey, but a reluctant yet welcome point. Edited 1 January 2023 by Chelmofox
Dan Posted 1 January 2023 Posted 1 January 2023 (edited) They're no mugs at all but we've got to make up for losses in games like the last two by actually delivering here. Anything other than a win not good enough. Could be quite a chaotic game, they're statistically the most open team in the league. 7 from this, Forest and Brighton. Edited 1 January 2023 by Dan LCFC 1

fox_up_north Posted 1 January 2023 Posted 1 January 2023 How things have changed...I remember the newly promoted Fulham that struggled to stay up and played some terrible football. Must be a very long time since they had a run in the top flight. Now we're genuinely nervous they'll beat us. 1
LcFc_Smiv Posted 1 January 2023 Posted 1 January 2023 Have been looking for 3 tickets together for the match and noticed M1 had 600 seats available, I imagine this will be part of Fulham’s allocation given back?
SheppyFox Posted 1 January 2023 Posted 1 January 2023 Is there any realistic way to keep Thomas out of our starting lineups at the moment? Ward is just awful too, truly awful.

Raj Posted 1 January 2023 Posted 1 January 2023 If we lose this it really will be embarrassing for the club. Fair enough losing to Liverpool away and even a resurgent Newcastle with their Saudi billions but we should be looking to beat the likes of Fulham at home. No disrespect to Fulham, they are a good team with a really decent striker but if you cant beatvthem at home, your looking at a relegation dogfight. 2
Fazzer 7 Posted 1 January 2023 Posted 1 January 2023 Having just seen the highlights of Fulham's win yesterday I have absolutely no confidence of getting a win here. Especially without Madders.

No mugs but man for man are they really any better than us? I don't think so and we should be beating teams like this quite comfortably with what we have. How expectations have dwindled under the management and rhetoric of Rodgers.

For most of this season I've been making the same mistake looking at the team sheets of clubs like Fulham, Brentford and even Newcastle. But I think we are forgetting that these are teams that are probably better drilled than us, don't have a load of players starting whose contacts are about to end and they are playing with a lot more confidence than us. Lay on top of that the fact that whilst the names on our squad list still look very good on paper, many of them are not the players they once were because of age and/or injury eg Vardy, Evans, Ndidi, Ricardo, etc. Plus we're also missing our main creative player in Maddison for a few more weeks by the sound of it. I've now come to accept that we are in the group of 8 or 9 teams who are going to be battling to stay in the league. We just need to finish as high as possible in that mini league and then regroup in the summer. This game against Fulham will be very difficult, I think, but we somehow have to grind out any sort of win, however ugly. Edited 1 January 2023 by Sunbury Fox 3
Buzzell Posted 1 January 2023 Posted 1 January 2023 I’m not looking forward to this if I’m honest. Obviously I want us to win but can see it being a shit draw or they will nick it.

Stadt Posted 1 January 2023 Posted 1 January 2023 Their away form is strong and we’ve basically given up trying to score goals. Loss.
FosseSpark Posted 1 January 2023 Posted 1 January 2023 Ward Castagne Amartey Faes Thomas Ndidi KDH Tielemams Barnes Iheanacho Vardy
coolhandfox Posted 1 January 2023 Posted 1 January 2023 Actually think in a strange way the knocked to Daka my help us shirt term. The constant switching of who playing up top has meant no one get into run of form. Vardy to refind his shooting boots. 1
Matt_Lcfc Posted 1 January 2023 Posted 1 January 2023 (edited) These have probably been the surprise package of the season. As above, they’re no mugs: Mitrovic has finally acclimatised, Palhina and Pereria have been very impressive in the middle, and they seem to have success from set-pieces. I was impressed with the response on Friday, but I’m still not convinced that we have the confidence back. I think that we will see goals here. I’m going to go for 2-2. Some might disagree with this, but I genuinely think that he is by far the least dangerous, he is just so easy to defend against. I get that Vardy isn’t the future, but Daka just isn’t that guy (from what I’ve seen). You are probably right, I think that Daka being injured will benefit us in the sense that it will force Rodgers to play Vardy / Kel. Edited 1 January 2023 by Matt_Lcfc 2
