As much as I hate Birtles as a pundit his disgust at that first half performance mirrors my own.

There’s a reason why most teams either invert a wingback or play a box midfield these days and there we are with Ndidi as a single pivot and not a single player on the pitch able to pass the ball. Like lambs to a slaughter.

 

If any of Castagne, Ndidi, Dewsbury-Hall, Tete, Daka or Rodgers come back out for the second half then the fans need to stage a sit-down protest on the pitch.
