Mike1983 Posted 2 April 2023 Posted 2 April 2023 Given this club's poor decision-making I will assume that we're signing Frank Lampard? 1

Popular Post Finnegan Posted 2 April 2023 Popular Post Posted 2 April 2023 Biggest fear now is the impact on the players. The usual new manager bounce relies on the players lifted by a toxic presence leaving. If ours really do have the stockholm syndrome as badly as they appear to then we might not actually get an immediate surge. This is quite possibly why the board have waited as long as they have. 5

I think the last 2 has fogged everyone's memory, it has been painful 1

whoareyaaa Posted 2 April 2023 Posted 2 April 2023 ****IN ELL, never thought I would see the day. Brilliant news.
Jobyfox Posted 2 April 2023 Posted 2 April 2023 Rodgers did well initially and I’m grateful for the FA Cup win, but this was long overdue this season. Pundits and ex-players will probably fall over themselves to back Rodgers, but I really do believe they should get with reality. Very few managers can achieve a long period of success and most go stale after a period of time. Only the very best managers with huge amounts of resource at their disposal can get sustained success. Even then some stay far too long (see Wenger at Arsenal). Even if we do still go down the time is right (or, perhaps, overdue). He HAD to go! 4

Had a clause in the contract that payment will be reduced due to performance. Edited 2 April 2023 by Lcfcman2010 1
goose2010 Posted 2 April 2023 Posted 2 April 2023 One game short of O'Neils record he will hate that! It's about time and hopefully not too late!
bovril Posted 2 April 2023 Posted 2 April 2023 Still can't hate the guy as much as some do. But it's disappointing how long he's lasted especially when you consider what happened to our last three managers. 2

Popular Post Jonezy Posted 2 April 2023 Popular Post Posted 2 April 2023 Last season we came 8th and lost a european semifinal. Sounds like a pretty good season, but it was mostly miserable. This season has been stuff of nightmares. About flippin time. 6
