We should have got him months ago imo, though I was slated for suggesting it back then. He did brilliantly in Germany and kept a dire Southampton up with an awful squad. Bertrand and Vestergaard were some of his better players 😅

He's a decent coach and although we'd be a pull at that level, we are only going to be at that level...
JohnnieFoxWalker Posted 9 May 2023 Posted 9 May 2023 Cov fail in the play offs and we should go for Mark Robins and their centre forward. 2

Silebyfox_89 Posted 9 May 2023 Posted 9 May 2023 If we go down I'd take Steve Cooper once Forest have sacked him.

LVFox Posted 9 May 2023 Posted 9 May 2023 As much as I have a list and preferences I just want to see a plan of the direction the club wants to go on. I've got a shit feeling that we see Scott Parker 1
RowlattsFox Posted 9 May 2023 Posted 9 May 2023 My money would be on Steven Gerrard. Not my choice but can see it happening. 1

lcfc278 Posted 9 May 2023 Posted 9 May 2023 What about Will Still, the manager at Reims? He's been doing a good job with a young team. Did you know that for every match he was manager, Reims were fined £20K because he didn't hold his Uefa Pro Licence? 2

His next job will be in the Premier League.

Even if Cov don't go up I don't see him leaving for us. They're a club where he's building something, we're a club on the down that needs rebuilding and it seems we have little resources finance to rebuild. It wouldn't make any sense. Even if we were to have stayed up I don't see that he'd have been attracted by us.

Number 6 Posted 9 May 2023 Posted 9 May 2023 Yeh we're looking at a different pool of options now. And we better be getting ducks in a row now because we need to start the rebuild quickly this summer. 1

Miquel The Work Geordie Posted 9 May 2023 Posted 9 May 2023 There are plenty of really decent, promising managers in the football league that'd be a breath of fresh air – and I absolutely don't trust us to go after a single one of them. Will be some out of work jobber who failed in their last job or they'll just stick with Smith. 2

Tommy Fresh Posted 9 May 2023 Posted 9 May 2023 Forgot about Scott Parker it's nailed on to be him if we go down
