My concern is that we won't be able to get out at all. Vardy is not the threat to the opposition he used to be.

Defending for 90 minutes is a big ask.

Interesting no Soumare on the bench. And disappointing Evans isn't there.

Evens ain't coming back.

I would have played nacho... but otherwise this is smiths call

How many times will Man City just pull us down when we get a slight change to break and get away with it until they get a card?

Spot on.

Pep will have his arm around Madders at full time.

I can see the thinking behind Vardy playing as a lone striker against Man C away - and especially with that line up. But that's with a Vardy of two or three years ago (or even the last season's version of him).

Just hope, hope, hope that Vards will be rejunevated by the managerial change and that he can dig deep and bring himself back somewhere close to his pace. Just for the last few games.

It might just work, you know. He could be the one to help us stay up.

And what a finish to an amazing career that would be.

After the pre match interview, it's clear he won't have Maddison drop as deeply. That should provide a better link for Vardy. Let's see!!

It’s not a masterclass in tactics, Maddison won’t have to drop as deep (although it’s man c so expect everyone to be quite deep) but with Youri there he wouldn’t have to normally.

The only reason Maddison was there last week was because we had 2 midfielders who can’t play ball and he (despite some thinking he’s downed tools) actually dropping to start the attacks to try and make something happen.

Youri is pinnacle to this side

I have a funny feeling about Vardy today. We need his intensity back from the front and it's not like Daka or Nacho have been any better recently.

Funny haha or funny oh no?

It’s not. KDH in for Iheanacho.
As always, just passing on what I’ve been told in good faith.

I believe it must have been planned with nacho or at least trained with it cos that's random enough and close enough to not be a wild guess.

Had to be a front two. Now is not the time to be Conservative. May aswell lose 8-0 than 1-0. We need to score and we need 3 points. Not sure goal difference will save us as its going.

Was hoping it would be 2 up front if Vardy was playing. Maddison can't go wandering.

Can't be playing two up front against Man City away.

Looks like 5-4-1 with a diamond in midfield, Ndidi holding, Maddison at No 10.

It's already been an excellent day, Bournemouth look like winning but I was targeting Southampton, Forest and Everton to finish above. Southampton and Everton losing at home to mid table opposition is great news and even a loss today puts us more likely to stay up than at the start of the day.
