I’d love to believe there’s a shortlist and it’s not just a game of whose agent contacts us first.

I love the fact people think there is even a list! Let alone a short one.

Pearson ain’t never coming back the club, they sacked him and took away his moment of glory just because his son got rimmed by a thai prossie, in the owners hotel, where they will get prossies in for you on room service, imagine how he felt watching us win the league under claudio who said himself he didn’t do anything to the team and just let them get on with it.

He wasn’t sacked because of what his son did. He was sacked for his reaction to his son getting kicked out of the club.

He didn’t have any qualms about taking the Leuven job?

I can't agree that the owners "took away NP's moment of glory".

If Claudio did say that he didn't change anything, it was just modesty on his part (typical of him, really).

Claudio's swapping in Simpson and Fuchs as full backs was the change that we needed to tighten up after being unable to get a clean sheet at the start of 2015-2016.

NP played with Wasilewski, Huth and Morgan during the great escape.

We can never know, but to suggest that Pearson would have won stuff if he had stayed needs a lot of other stuff to have fallen into place.

I just don't see it.

I agree he probably isn't coming back, though.

Pearsons teams will always be my favourite.  Couldn't give a toss if he loses every other game he manages elsewhere.

Honestly I don't want him back and risk his reputation here.  I respect the man to that degree.

This is it really.

Remember calls for O’Neill into come back around 2010. Too young to understand the significance at the time but this is similar. We need a rebuild under a new vision. And it’ll take a few years at least.

Pedigree of getting a team promoted from a competitive Championship - check.

Keeping an unfancied team in the premier league - check.

History of promotion from other leagues in the football pyramid and ensuring survival for numerous clubs in numerous leagues - check.

Taking a team from bottom of the premier league to three points clear of relegation, only to lose your job for having the principles and minerals to have a “frank exchange of views” with the owner - check.

A proven track record of rebuilding a squad containing overinflated egos, and engendering a real team spirit - check.

Sees the value in and actively supports analytics, sports science, and sports psychology - check.

Overseeing a management team that unearthed hidden gem players at bargain basement prices - check.

Fought off a pack of wild dogs in Romania - check.

The sexiest white tissue box shaped trainers you’ve ever seen - check.

Putting aside any jokes and the “special relationship” Pearson seems to have with Leicester - that’s exactly the type of person you’d want in charge of your football club isn’t it?

His ability to foster the right mentality, recruit the right sort of players and bring in excellent staff is brilliant. Unfortunately I just don’t think he’s good enough tactically in 2023 to get us up.

Get him in as a non-exec director.

Also he gets and respects the fans. That’s a massive thing in this era.
