Well no, fortunately I never said anything to the contrary, I was disputing the ridiculous assertion that Man City play dull football because teams sit back and they don't just do a big up and under in response

I don’t think having history of getting promoted is that important. Out of the last 6 managers to get promoted to the prem only one had a previous promotion. Scott Parker.

Yeah, it's literally about appointing a manager that can win us enough games to get us promoted. They don't necessarily need experience of getting promoted, they just need to know how to win games with the players we have.

POLICE CALLED TO EX CHELSEA MANAGERS HOUSE AFTER MALE REFUSES TO LEAVE.

 

Police were called the a quiet suburban village today after a male refused to leave the front garden of the former Chelsea manager, Graham Potter. 
 

The male who is believed to be a John Rudkin has been camped out on Potters front garden for four weeks. Potter spokesperson told the paper “Graham feels like a prisoner in his own home, he can’t do anything without this man appearing at a window, he makes his breakfast he’s at the kitchen window, watching the television he’s at the patio doors, making passionate love to his wife, he’s at the bedroom window…. Graham can’t catch a break”.

 

Police attempted to remove John but ended up chasing him around Potters garden for a few hours and had to tactically retreat following a long stand off. 
 

A police spokesman has said “John is the most stubborn individual the force has ever come across, we’ve tried to negotiate with him, but have failed we’ve tried to forcibly remove him, but he had chained himself to Mr. Potters Acer tree, we’re at our wits end with him, he is like Mr. Bean”.
 

The police are working with Mr. Potter to try and remove John, even former Leicester city manager Brendan Rodgers attended the scene with a KFC family bucket, but this also failed.

Experience of the Championship, just because you haven’t been promoted doesn’t mean you don’t know what it takes.

 

Out the last 6 promoted and play offs finalists

You say that, but if you can play an expansive brand of football effectively in the championship, a lot of teams can't live with you. Norwich were promoted twice under Farke playing an expansive brand of football with some pretty average footballers.

In terms of top, I think it's being overly harsh. Huge businesses take a long time to turn around, I'm sure we all agree he should have sacked Rodgers sooner, but I do understand his reasoning, even if I don't agree with it. 

 

You can make changes in fitness and in recruitment and you might have no idea if those changes are successful for 6-18 months. 

I'd agree with all of that if there was one iota of evidence that the club are attempting to correct the catastrophic failures they've been guilty of. They aren't, unless they truly believe all of this has been caused by Brendan and the staff he had a big say in coming in such as Lee Congerton and Bryan English.

 

I'm a critic of the latter part of Rodgers tenure as everyone will very well know but I lay the majority of the blame directly at the board and owners door for allowing it to continue whilst also no longer backing him financially either.

 

Rudkin and Co are seemingly not performance measured because if they were then I have to ask ro what degree do we have to plummet to before Top would say enough is enough with some of them? It's beggars belief.

 

But despite all of the anger about the way the club has been ran in the last few years and the horrendous mismanagement of player contracts and recruitment in and out, if Top cannot see that Jon Rudkin having essentially 4 jobs under the King Power corporation and that in light of the worst implosion in Premier League history still isn't enough to think their eye has been taken off the ball then this is where my patience and sympathy run out.

I don't think we did win the league hitting it in the channels and to say that, actually does our team a great dis-service. 

 

We won the league getting the ball very successfully from one half of the pitch to the other. But that often involved using Kante's ball transfer skills, Mahrez's agility and Albrighton's accuracy in crossing. Very rarely did the ball go from one of the full backs be punted down the line. We'd more likely to slip a pass behind a high lined defence but this would be a cute reserve pass or a counter attack. 

 

Secondarily, we played that way because teams disastrously chose to play high lines on us - Vardy and Mahrez could exploit with their pace in behind. Man City don't have that luxury - every team sits deep on them. So they have to keep the ball and get the tempo high to get opposition out of position.
