Well you look into my daughter’s only functioning eye (I should never have got her the knife set for Xmas) and tell her she can’t have the mountain lion that Daddy promised.

Loads of Evertonians gave up their tickets so more of us could go to the match to see a bit of opera and a trophy lift.

There’s dicks at every club - hell, just look at my expansive block list here - but I reckon they need to be cut a little slack.

I agree. I don't think I'd get pleasure out of any team going under, even our closest rivals. I had a friend at work who was a Coventry City fan and what they went through was awful and fair play to their fans that travelled wherever just to support their team. That's not to say that we didn't have any banter but nevertheless, there's a time and a place.

Foden and Palmer for me. Not sure who gets what award though

I don't agree with having people in both categories. Just one or the other please. Let some other players get recognition, particularly in the Young Player category.

Young player should be based on appearances, or whether it's a breakthrough season imo. Only Palmer or Mainoo fall into that category for me, with Palmer winning it comfortably.

Foden to edge the main award, but Odegaard if Arsenal go on to win it.

Agreed. Less than x number of appearances in the last 12 months to qualify.

Watching Palace makes me wonder what we could have done with decent recruitment over the last 3 years.

Eze and Olise were such obvious signings, maybe the lure of London appealed to them though?

Bowen was another, these young Championship players that stand out for 18/24 months are the signings a club like us should be making every season.

Unai Emery extends Villa contract. Certain parallels with Leicester/Rodgers going on there. Let's hope it all ends in the same way!

Bombs out of a European semi final with a whimper too....

I don't think they're anything to do with Everton at all now.

Fair enough, I know they used to be the shirt sponsor, wasn’t sure if they still had some big advertising deal at the training ground/stadium

Your dislike for Villa knows no bounds.

Would love to see them fail myself but I think Emery has them on an upward curve.

Surely this dodgy league can sort us out the following:

Villa to finish 5th

Forest to be relegated

Man City to win the league

Don't dislike them as much as I did when Purslow was there. It was interesting chatting to a season ticket holder this week - he was gutted they're prioritising top 4 over a trophy.

Personally I'd much rather take an FA Cup win and a 5th place finish but its all about the champions league for the kids these days isn't it
