They're about what the team looked like when the manager came in and the position they got to. You can't sensibly argue that Farke's starting point in August was as good as Maresca's. Maresca had a whole month more to prepare and most (appreciate not all) of your key business had been done already. Most of ours had not been done at all. Maybe there is an agenda. I have no idea. That still doesn't alter the fact that from the point of all these squads being put together and the playing field being more equal, Farke has been the standout manager. I don't think that's likely to be seen by many as a particularly controversial opinion. By that measure none of Klopp, Pep or Arteta will not be nominated for Manager of the season in the Prem, when we know they will. To most people, no, I'm afraid he hasn't. McKenna has. Popular Post Leicester_Loyal Posted 4 April 2024 Popular Post Posted 4 April 2024 Mckenna has performed better than any other manager in this league, miles better than Enzo or Farke. 9
Chelmofox Posted 4 April 2024 Posted 4 April 2024 For me, the remaining 7 games are key to who should actually get this, and Enzo should be in the running. Rosenior should have done better on more recent games, and one of Farke, Enzo or Mckenna is going to bottle it.
Popular Post moore_94 Posted 4 April 2024 Popular Post Posted 4 April 2024 (edited) Should've been McKenna, Corberan, and probably Cifuentes for Manager of the Season At the least both Enzo and Farke have so far only done what was expected of them and that is competing for automatic promotion Edited 4 April 2024 by moore_94 8
Popular Post Corky Posted 4 April 2024 Popular Post Posted 4 April 2024 Do it at the end of the season. 5

Nod.E Posted 4 April 2024 Posted 4 April 2024 Rohl should be in with a shout if he manages to keep Wednesday up from where they were. Probably McKenna though regardless of how the season ends.

MrsJohnMurphy Posted 5 April 2024 Posted 5 April 2024 Do you think Leeds fans want to keep Farke for next season given his consistent failure at PL level?

winteriscoming Posted 5 April 2024 Posted 5 April 2024 Imo Robins should be in the running for manager of the season. Semi final of the fa cup and still in with a chance of the playoffs. 2

Those scores are just against stats and not necessarily the influence on a game or the context of a game. Not that I disagree with Hamza, just making that point 1

orangecity23 Posted 5 April 2024 Posted 5 April 2024 (edited) Late to the party on this, but as a counter to the "but Leeds lost 11 first team starters from last season" argument: GK Ward and Iversen LB Thomas and Kristiansen CB Evans, Soyuncu and Amartey RB Castagne LW Barnes RW Perez CM Tielemans and Soumare AM Maddison 13 regular starters from last season who haven't featured at all for Leicester this season due to being sold, leaving on a free, loaned out or because they are Danny Ward and thus shit. FrankieADZ Posted 5 April 2024 Posted 5 April 2024 (edited) "leeds lost 11 first team starters" clearly that isnt valid, also the sinisterra one is now perma Edited 5 April 2024 by FrankieADZ

May be quick and likes to tackle but that is it. He has had more issues than positives in the club. - Caught at a party during Covid which cost us 4th in the league. Maddison, Perez and Hamza dropped from the West Ham away game. Lost the game and 4th place - As of February police quite rightly involved in a drink driving incident when he was caught driving on the wrong side of the road Continually sets a dreadful example and what does Enzo do to set a precedent of indiscipline is make him captain numerous times, and then the board offer him a new deal. Forgetting 18 months ago only Watford were interested to take him on loan at a loss on his wages. 2
Super_horns Posted 5 April 2024 Posted 5 April 2024 Very harsh on Bayo. Not a great player no but got some goals and we have had worse players with bigger reputations. Jamal Lewis Tom Ince Two that come to mind.

He also lost near enough an entire first 11 of players (no player started the Hull match who started the last match of last season) and had to deal with a lot of those leaving in August, many of their replacements landing after the season started. I think every reasonable person can see that the results in Leeds first 5/6 games were in no way a reflection of Farke's real impact as the team was in transition and he'd had a month to work with the players in the middle of a circus. Since those first few games, Farke's Leeds have comfortably out performed everyone and over a long stretch now. It does seem a tad unfair on Maresca mind but assume the recent slide and/or financial side have influenced the thinking here enormously. Mckenna absolutely the best by far We are not all blinded by club loyalty. Taking a promoted team to the top of the table with less than 9 games to go. Leeds as Leicester have done well but ipswich personify everything you could wish from your club. 4
Death by Football Posted 5 April 2024 Posted 5 April 2024 Farke has no reason being there. He’s achieving what would be expected with the resources available to him. Enzo shouldn’t be either, except for the fact that he oversaw a record breaking first half of the season. McKenna will win it and rightly so. Were it not for the record breaking start of Leicester it would have been Ipswich breaking records with a newly promoted side. What he’s achieved has been damn near miraculous (regardless of lucky deflected goals). 1
