4-0 win vs Swansea near the end of 2015/16

No Vardy and had to win and it was nice being able to enjoy the football for once rather than suffer.

1-0 after 10 mins

2-0 after 30 mins

3-0 on the hour

Went 8pts clear with three to play and Tottenham still had a game in hand. Lose versus Swansea and Tottenham win their game in hand we have a 2pt lead with three to play and two of those fixtures were Man Utd and Chelsea away.

1. ManCity 1-3 Leicester 2015-16. That was the performance that really made it seem possible. Huth was unreal. For me this is still the club’s most memorable ever match and the one I most look back in awe upon. Everyone said this was the game we fall away but we completely outplayed ManCity and showed we were there to stay the course

2. Leicester 3-1 Everton 2015-16. Lifting the PL trophy

3. Leicester 1-0 Chelsea. FA Cup final. Obviously

4. Leicester 2-0 (3-2 agg) Sevilla. Champions League last 16. Just incredible to see Leicester win a knock out tie in the CL and unsung players like Albrighton and Morgan write themselves into club folklore. Probably as good an atmosphere as there’s ever been at the Kp too

5. Leicester 3-2 Aston Villa. 2015-16. Early on in the title winning season. We were 2-0 down and came back and won 3-2. It just seemed to give us an unstoppable momentum and I remember just coming out the ground thinking “wow” and feeling like we were just unsinkable at the time

This would be pretty much mine too, but my number 5 would be the 5-3 against Manchester United in the 2014-15 season. I watched it in a pub in Manchester, surrounded by United fans. That was the moment Vardy made his first mark on the league and we saw the first signs that we really had a special team here that could give anyone a game.

1-0 away to Spuds... Huths header!!

... That was the moment I thought we could win the league.

Also, (and although a defeat) , the 2-1 loss at Arsenal... that galvanised the team to go on, undefeated from then on in, to win the title by a clear 10 points!!!!

Good question, @shailen  Although I’m not sure what place positivity has in these boards, right now!!🥴. Suspect all of us will have lifting EPL and FA cup. My other three :-

Man Utd 5-3.
A taste of all that was to come. Sensational afternoon.

Man City 4-1?
Home win over Christmas/new year post title win. Genuinely felt we could mix it with anyone at that point. Two of the goals were sublime.

Chelsea 2-2 Spurs

Come on? Who didn’t cry that night like they’ve never done before over a football match??

This thread inspired me to go back and watch the highlights of some of these mentioned games. If you’re feeling down still from the relegation watching some of these will cheer you up

Well that has thoroughly depressed me, seeing all those highlights.

Beating Manure 5-3, the roof lifting off the stadium when Cambiasso scored.

Doing Chelsea at home on a soggy night the season we won the league and then seeing Moanio ripping into his own players on the TV down the pub after the game.

The first home game in the Champions league and hearing that theme over the tannoy.

Winning the FA cup.

Winning the community shield against Man City whilst eating a really overpriced, over cheesed burger.

1) United 5-3 - felt like we belonged in that league and were more than also rans for the first time, what a result it was

2) West Ham 2-1 - kicked off the Great Escape

3) Arsenal 3-0 - dispatched and totally outclassed them - this was peak Rodgers reign and felt like we had cemented ourselves as a perennial top 4 contenders... ha.

4) FA Cup final - hated every second as was sick with nerves and we were lucky to win but what an achievement

5) Sevilla 2-0 - what more needs to be said.

Honourable mentions to 9-0 vs Saints and 5-2 and 3-1 wins vs Man City, 2-0 vs Liverpool, 3-2 comeback win vs Villa and 3-2 away win at WBA.

(How have we managed to screw this up so badly, with all the monster achievements, unbelievable.)

1 - Thinking we had an outside chance of winning the PL

2 - Realising we actually had a real chance of winning the PL

3 - Watching Tottenham bottle a 2-0 lead and winning the PL

4 - Beating Man Utd 3-1 in the Quarter Final of the FA Cup and then seeing the draw pitch us against Southampton to give us a real opportunity of the FA Cup Final

5 - Youri Tielemans scoring the winning goal at Wembley

I can’t pick one. This has been the first season in that period where it’s been poor.

We’re the best club in England in my opinion. What other fanbase can say they’ve witnessed what we have in this time period? It’s insane….. a great escape, followed by a PL title followed by European exploits followed by and FA cup followed by a European semi final?

I mean, come on? Talk about value for money….. Teams like Man City are just emotionless, soulless, gutless Americanised brands pumped full of cash to just win repeatedly. It must be proper crap supporting them it really must be. Yes you see great players, but there’s no emotion, there’s just an expectation to win, constantly.

If we can win the championship next season, it’s another title, and we then become the joint most decorated second decision team, along with Man City if I’m not mistaken? It is almost like we just want to go around winning trophies as our leisure….

Were probably the most decorated club in England, we’ve won league one, championship and the premier league and the FA cup, that kind of stuff just doesn’t happen, and not in such a short time.

We are the fairytale club, and whilst it’s been an absolute disaster getting relegated, it does make you sit back and just look at what we’ve achieved….

I was being given some chip from a Cov fan at work the other day, I mean he should go and see someone anyway, because he genuinely believes Cov are a bigger club than us, but I was like, mate….. your club couldn’t sniff the sweat from around filberts bollocks…. No club has some what we have over the last decade, no club at all not even Man City…. Have we out achieved the big six? Is say yes we have, we had no right to do what we did, but we did it anyway, so to the premier league, **** YOU..

We’re off to win the championship because we are frankly bored of this shit, and fancy another trophy.

See you later.

Oh and Spurs, we have been relegated and could potentially have a more successful season than you again next season, in terms of silverware.

It's not always the biggest games that give me those moments of pure joy. An eclectic mix I have

Swansea in great escape. The absolute joy when kingy scored

Huth away at Spurs. Jesus H. What a game that was.

Any Vardy goal at West Brom. All of them seemed to be electric. That volley ffs.

That extraordinary spell under Rodgers. Arsenal. Palace away. Villa away. Saints 9-0. It was Man City level of performance for two months.

FA Cup quarter final v Man U. It was the last sighting of Rodgers ball perfection

Edited to 5!

I'll finish with a general one. Mahrez. What. A. Player. The best first touch in world football. Playing for us. The elegance. It was simply stunning.

There's so many great moments we've had over the last decade, maybe I should have extended it to the top 10 but just wanted to reflect with positivity on what has been the best era in the club's history.

1) Trophy Day. The whole day, the jubilation, the concourses just buzzing with singing and dancing and noise.

2. The Cup win. Wembley is only a great day if you win. And we fxxxxxg won!

3. Seville home. Especially when you see their record in Europe before and since.

4. Vardy's volley. That was when I knew.

5. West Brom 2-3 City. When Foxes Never Quit genuinely meant something.

But also special mention to the best tweet of the Premier League era

Champions League Football European Nights

FA Cup win

Charity Shield

Leicester 5 Manure 3

1. The surreal moment we won the league when Hazard scored.

2.  Bocelli singing, The Everton game and trophy lift.

3. Huths header at Spurs. Got stick from spurs fans all game standing right near them and the sheer delight at that and the importance of the goal was massive.

4. It's on everyone's list but the 5-3 v man u but specifically Cambiassos goal. I reckon I've never celebrated a goal that wildly. We were beaten at 1-3, buried by a team of superstars and somehow we came back. That match made it seem like we belonged in the premier League and wernt outsiders.

5. Has to be Youri belting it in in the FA cup final.

Posted

1 final whistle of Chelsea v Spurs 15/16

2 final whistle of 2021 FA Cup final

3 final whistle of 2-0 v Sevilla

4 Vardy’s 11th heaven goal

5 3-1 v Everton - the whole wonderful drunken day
