Worries me big time that they haven’t said thanks to Stowell and Saddler yet

FM if these two turned up managing your kids U11 team you’d be disappointed and expect a relegation season. Fuching hopeless the pair of them

Imagine him to be a yes man. Has as much to blame on the relegation as anyone. Ward cost is massively over the season. Stowell should have been recommending a change from game 10!

Stowell:

What exactly are we thanking them for being well paid and overseeing the final failure. Football really is a sad profession.

This.

It was a really big ask but they obviously were happy to take the money.

They failed and I like to think of this as a pat on the back and a boot up the arse.

Good riddance:appl:

My point was when people say he had a better points total that the other nob, statistically we had a easier run in as per the Opta stats

so if its a easier run in then the harder fixtures have been played.

Hard to compare the 2 on ppg

What is that based on?

As I predicted west ham was his easiest game, on the beach, not fighting for loose balls etc.

Whilst Everton were low down the table and all over every loose ball.

This is like when Jane from accounts comes around asking you to sign a giant card and make a donation to the present for the lad who joined four week’s ago but has to leave because he’s signed off with a bad case of piles.

Fvck off, Jane - I’ve had drinking sessions that lasted longer than him.”

Nah. Nothing against the lad, he did his best with a completely broken squad, but off you fvck and take that Terry nobber with you. You can stick about for a bit Shaky, tell me about the magnificent NFP…

Deano tried his best but always a tough ask. With just seven games to keep us up. Maddie's pen cost him not our survival but maybe even deanos and shakey and Terry jobs.

They gave it go,  So indeed thanks.  Rogers and Rudkin MUST shoulder the blame for the relegation, we should never erase this.

Sure they were garbage but the club can't print "thanks a lot for not getting one win from Everton or Leeds, you useless twats"

When was that graphic put together? Was it after Brendan was sacked?

For me Brendan lost 18 of his 28 games in charge this season, which would have included the 'easier' games. Dean Smith had a better average and if he'd been in charge of the Bournemouth and Villa games, I think we'd have won one of those.

So many have benefited massively from the rise under Pearson and the title win. Schmeichel being the pro he was and improving so much would have looked very good on Stowell. I can think of 10 Goalkeepers off the top of my head who were absolute dogshit under Stowell. Think we had about 5 in that League One season.

Because 3 got injured.

Let's not go OTT on the guy, his job is to coach the keepers, he doesn't buy them or even scout them. If there was an issue with anything he actually did then he wouldn't have been at the club so long.

Most clubs have these set ups, a base format of coaches and underlings who are always at the club to minimise any upheaval when managers leave every two years. The fact is only a select few a good enough or motivated enough to manage and end up doing the donkey work.

We are where we are 😏

You would think coaches offer feedback on players from their department though. Most casual fans saw Ward was out of his depth in 5 games, yet the “Goalkeeping expert” missed this for what 4 years?

But he doesn't pick the team. As I understand it Rodgers wasn't happy with Iversen's distribution and as he saw it Ward was the better option in a build from the back approach. The weird thing with Ward is you watch him warm up and he doesn't do any of that starjump shite or throwing himself into strange shapes. And I don't remember him doing it in previous years cup appearances either. Maybe he's decent in training? I don't know, it's another odd scenario from a season full of them

I guess you could look at the corresponding fixtures this season where we beat Everton, West Ham, Leeds and Wolves and say Rogers got 12 points.
