fox_favourite Posted 18 June 2023 Posted 18 June 2023 I think he'll be good in the Italian league. Good luck to him. 1

baldeagle Posted 18 June 2023 Posted 18 June 2023 I said it in another thread he has never seemed to me that he wanted to be here from day 1 . Also recall him being linked to other clubs almost every window . Cash in for me and use else where
Hamilton Fox Posted 18 June 2023 Posted 18 June 2023 Let’s face its a great move all round, would have hoped we could of got more than £15m if clubs like juventus were interested but we know how tight the Italians are when bidding for our players

I think it was a post match interview Indeed, only a few players who hinted publicly that something wasn't working, a while before he was sacked. We did see glimpses but I think like with a lot of this squad under the poisoned dwarf, seriously under performed. He'll no doubt thrive in Italy. IMO good player under the right setup.
Beechey Posted 18 June 2023 Posted 18 June 2023 (edited) Thought he’d gone a bit stale here. Was brilliant in his first season but he’s petered off a lot. I can’t remember a recent game where I thought he was a/the standout player, and defensively he was constantly exposed. Good luck to him, he needs to be sold, he wants to go, and he’s going to a great club. Edited 18 June 2023 by Beechey 1
StanSP Posted 18 June 2023 Posted 18 June 2023 What kind of wages do we think he was on? Get a good fee for him most likely. And then more of the wage ball will suit us we'll.
Weller Wing Posted 18 June 2023 Posted 18 June 2023 Good player , but like many others, lost his way a bit. If we get £15 million, then that's decent as well as reducing the wage bill. Hope it works out for him👍

That’s fine as long as it’s mandatory rather than optional. I wonder if the club will be hopeful for potential deals like this on the hope we go straight back up and get these lads back into the side. Personally I hope not.
HeskeyForever Posted 19 June 2023 Posted 19 June 2023 Good to make that much back to be honest. Reasonably solid and one of the few that actually looked like he cared about us losing games, so I wish him well. If we keep Ricky P fit this season he'll probably win the league by himself this season.
indierich06 Posted 19 June 2023 Posted 19 June 2023 Sounds like he's as good as gone, if the fee is reasonable then fair enough. I liked Castagne, feel like he's one of very few players last season who put in effort and gave us some decent performances. Shame to lose him, but not devastated. Best of luck for the future Timmy. 1
fairbanksh Posted 19 June 2023 Posted 19 June 2023 Sorry to see him go. Certainly committed if not his best season. He'll thrive in Italy. Sorry to see him go but all the best 4
