'Flight booked' as Italian giants look to complete €15m Leicester City transfer'

Latest Leicester City news from LeicestershireLive amid claims that Foxes defender Timothy Castagne is closing in on a move to Juventus

Juventus director Giovanni Manna will reportedly travel to London this week in a bid to sign Leicester City defender Timothy Castagne.

The full-back featured in all but one of the Foxes' Premier League matches last season but could not help them avoid relegation. He scored two and assisted three and has reportedly attracted attention from Arsenal this summer.

Reports have previously claimed that a move to Turin could "soon take off" but the transfer fee for the Belgian remains an issue, describing it as "excessive".

And Calciomercato.com are now claiming that the Italian giants' director "has a flight booked" for the capital and will "be in London on Thursday" for talks.

£15 is a terrific fee right now. Take it, we have some good fb cover, reinvest it quickly to support the new regime.

He is actually a very good player, and showed it at times with us.

However, much like the club as a whole, has declined quite rapidly with us and I want him to go.

Not surprised we are able to get £10-15m for him or the fact Juventus are interested.

He was really good in Serie A for Atalanta. He scored a brilliant goal against them in the Coppa Italia the season before he came to us:

He suited them superbly in their system, just like Gosens. Not overly convinced they are good full backs but they are excellent wing backs

I always thought he was perfectly mediocre in a wing back system for us, but agreed for Atalanta and Belgium much better.

He will go but nowhere near £15m…. We will end up less than £10m

Let’s not forget it’s €15m and not £15m…

If we buy Doyle for 8-10 mill then surely take the same for selling Castagne

Either way we'll be quids in due to less wages we'll need to pay for Doyle than Castagne.

1 out 1 in

I still think we've got best part of £60-70m to raise from Castagne, Barnes, Praet, Vestergaard, Iversen or Ward, Ndidi, Iheanacho or Daka. That's even with a few loans or free transfers amongst them.

The likes of Praet and Vestergaard we should just accept a nominal fee of a few million and all their wages gone.
