Castagne to Fulham

If all these rumors are factual (which is unlikely) then this Club needs a savvy DoF …..and quick.

I know they reckon Susan Whelan doesn't deal in football matters, but it's on record she negotiated the Maguire deal and I wouldn't be surprised if she had dealings with Chelsea on Fofana too.

Make it an obligation and just get him gone

https://football-italia.net/juventus-will-meet-west-ham-and-leicester-this-week/

Juventus director Giovanni Manna is set to be in London this week, trying to sell Denis Zakaria to West Ham United and sign Timothy Castagne from Leicester City.

According to Calciomercato.com, the transfer chief has a flight booked and will be in London on Thursday for a series of meetings.

Manna’s other priority is to secure Castagne, who is eager to return to Serie A after his experience with Atalanta and the fact Leicester City were relegated from the Premier League.

Here too, the asking price is €15m and the player has already agreed terms with Juve, but they hope to whittle down the fee perhaps by making it a loan with option to buy.

Sneaky way Italian club bs operate. Needs to be £15m or don't bother even meeting. They're just trying to play dirty.

yup and what’s worse they will be telling his agent they will get it done. He’s not going to go and sign for bourmouth when he can be patient and end up at juve is he.

I think this is posturing by both clubs, we have set a price which is higher than what we would be willing to accept and Juve are now bulking at and offering a loan with option to buy which doesn’t suit us, no doubt we will meet somewhere in the middle and agree a permanent deal somewhere between £10-12m or loan with obligation to buy where we secure the full £15m albeit split by loan fee this season and balance as a transfer fee next season.

Hopefully we don’t fall into the same trap as we did with Praet and Torino. Don’t want players who have had their head turned sticking around.

Negotiate yes, but if we need to drop the fee by a couple of million let’s get it done. Or let’s offer him to the bottom 12 in the premier league, sell and let’s move on and bring in players who want to be here and compete.

I agree. Let's just get this one done. Doesn't want to be here and we could do with cashing in.

Things have changed somewhat

If he wants to go back to Italy then he won’t move to Bournemouth (although there are a few nice pizza restaurants in Poole)

we do have some leverage with his reduced salary this season but the player knows that we have identified him as a definite sale (and the bottom half of the prem won’t be offering him much more than we are now paying him)

Agreed obligation or tell them to do 1!!! Sick of Italian clubs loaning players with options to buy only for them to come back with a pathetic offer once the loan has finished or go the extra yard when it comes to cheek in asking for another season loan

We’ve never done it have we? Under,Tête-à-tête, Lookman etc etc…..

We’ve also not gone back and tried to move the goal posts or get them on another loan… you look at what Torino did with Praet, inter with Lukaku it’s seemingly just the norm in italy

'Flight booked' as Italian giants look to complete €15m Leicester City transfer'

Latest Leicester City news from LeicestershireLive amid claims that Foxes defender Timothy Castagne is closing in on a move to Juventus

Juventus director Giovanni Manna will reportedly travel to London this week in a bid to sign Leicester City defender Timothy Castagne.

The full-back featured in all but one of the Foxes' Premier League matches last season but could not help them avoid relegation. He scored two and assisted three and has reportedly attracted attention from Arsenal this summer.

Reports have previously claimed that a move to Turin could "soon take off" but the transfer fee for the Belgian remains an issue, describing it as "excessive".

And Calciomercato.com are now claiming that the Italian giants' director "has a flight booked" for the capital and will "be in London on Thursday" for talks.

As if €15m for a 27 year old Belgian international, who can cover multiple positions and has 2 years on his contract is "excessive"! As soon as your dealing with an Italian, Turkish or Portuguese club who play in a green and white hooped kit you know you're getting dragged over the coals on the fee. Only hope is the Arsenal interest is concrete and they bump the price up.

Been a decent player for us, who can forget that debut goal v West Brom, but he really needs to be sold, we need the money and we've already got enough decent full backs.
