It worked. Theres people on here and all over socials that are drinking from the King Power kool aid again. Quite a few posters on here labelling people as 'moaners' for wanting the best for the club and some accountability as to why the best opportunity we've had in years was completely and utterly squandered in the most incompetent fashion.

As long as these types of fans are the most prevalent nothing at the club will change.

Oh yeah it worked big time. Hugely divisive piece in an already divided fanbase.

Amazingly quickly too.

A distant relation is an S&M sex worker. People pay her to piss and shit on them and inflict pain. Same kind of thing applies to the happy clappers, I guess.

And it also brought the people on the fence back in line, there were a few wobblers that soon fell back into 'the family have been amazing for the club its disgraceful what fans are saying' etc.

They leaned hugely into the reverence some sections of the fanbase hold the owners in. I have no doubts there are some fans that would pay to have Top piss on them, no doubts at all.

It's pot luck on whether you have a decent manager because the fannies above him are clueless.

This is just predictably unbelievable from Stowell but the rot doesn't stop until Top sells the club.

Before starting after the world cup there was nothing wrong with this. Got over our initial bad start and was in form before we stopped, no problem with looking up at that point.

Yeah I remember leaving that West Ham game buzzing, unbelievable away end and everyone there fully expected us to just push on up the table after the run we’d been on. At that point in the season Europe was not unrealistic if the run continued.

Rodger’s even came out alone in front of the fans after all the players and staff had gone inside giving it the big fist pump and the away end was going mad for it. Don’t think he’d come over to us once in the season before then so it was at that time a big moment.

Did anyone expect anything different? When our club captain (due to injury) is still saying we'll be fine in March with about 7 wins all season, they all thought the same, from Top downwards.

I still laugh about it to this day, mismanagement all across the club.

You only have to get a couple of victories and a good many on here were talking Europe. There was never a uniform or objective look at our decline on here and there still isn't. There is far too much black and white thinking. We are a classic grey area , mediocrity is boring maybe but most teams definitely are mediocre.

Funny, we could all see it here from early on. Just goes to show, highly paid executives, managers and staff can all easily be Jon Snow.

I think as you go on in any line of work, you realise so many are blagging it. If you can say the right things you get a job. Very rarely because you've done a good job.

Obviously had a problem looking anywhere but down after that point or even looking at where and at what point the players stopped playing for him and the club. He was the same at Liverpool ok until it needed fixing then he hadn't a clue. The difference was Liverpool knew when to get shot of the fraud whereas our owners stupidly kept faith with him.

I don't believe a word of it. The manager and players looked like they were cooked from the off last season; that Southampton collapse at home and the 6 consecutive losses, Brendan sulking in his chair while outright trashing the Club in press conferences, no signings til Fofana bolted. All the while the Club just held the position... until April fools day. An active Club would've got rid before the season started and laid out plans for a new manager and supplied the funds to either extend the contracts of our players who were on big money but didn't want to stay(another bizarre conundrum) or build a new squad.

The contract situation is the root cause of the problems IMO. Poor signings stretching the wage budget, COVID wolloping King Power as a business entity and Brendan at the end of his coaching cycle. We knew we were buggered, LCFC isn't run by compete morons, the previous decade proved that. So believe whatever you want. It's evident the squad needed a rebuild last season, seemingly we have funds to play with again and are engaging in a rebuild. Let's just hope we're still serious about being an active Club with aspirations of finding a role to play in the Premier League & Europe again, whatevers happened.

Not that it mattered.

Liverpool persisted with Rodgers longer than they should have. They finished 6th in 14/15 with Gerrards final game, losing 6-1 away at Stoke.

But then kept him in situ until October 2015 before sacking him.

I think we all sensed it was toxic but I never thought we'd be relegated. But the lack of awareness of the situation and the weak mentality that everything will be okay cost us massively.

We need to show the same ambition and pack our senior management out with experienced and successful figures from the continent. Stop sitting still, move us ****ing forward.

Oh, and sue Everton, Man City and the Premier League.

I'm reading that it might take five years to make a decision on Everton's money juggling.

My concern is that there is still some of this delusion hanging over the club.

The pre season shambles, the remarks around these being top level players (I'm afraid they're not), a general feel that all we need to do is show up, the lack of proper transfer activity (deadwood has to go, those players skulking around looking for other clubs need to go, young fresh talent has to come into the team) the striking lack of creativity, potentially playing a system that is beyond our players.

It has all of the feel of Apollo Creed before he got murdered by Drago in Rocky 4 to me.

I would agree, but the clear out and new first team coaching set up and ethos gives me hope.

I think you could be forgiven for thinking that we would stay up in November (although I'll never forget some of the smug comments on here towards those who weren't convinced at the time) but how they could see us get 1 point from our opening 7, and have that run from Man Utd - Brentford and not think we were in severe danger is just beyond me.

Said it a hundred times on here but it took an almost improbable level of incompetence to relegate that side and we achieved it. I'm positive about Maresca but people on here who act like we've not made the most ridiculous squander baffle me. Yes this place is toxic and negative - the **** would you expect?

Just as we all start to try and forget the utter shambles we've become and the absolute disgrace of us getting relegated, Stowell comes along and confirms all our thoughts, that everyone at the club was (and still is in some cases) utterly incompetent. That whole interview just stinks of brand Brendan. The damage that weasel has done to this club won't be rectified for years. Lost all of our decent players and are pretty much back to square one where we were when Pearson rebuilt us. Really hope Maresca can turn our fortunes around but it's not an overnight fix both in terms of squad rebuild and general mentality at the club.
