There is absolutely no way he plays. Can see a

midfield of Soumare and Choudhury.

He’s still out best centre midfielder.

I know I sympathise with him more than most, as if your passing options are Ayew, Choudhury, Soumare etc,  you are going to be frustrated. In a better team, with better players he also looks better.

Clearly something has gone on.

We don’t know what that is.

However if he’s called out the Manger or

club for terrible tactical situations, training methods, pre match preparation, squad ability etc, then been bombed out, he’d be looked at differently. I think it still splits the fan base, similar to when Roy Keane walked out on Ireland, however at least we know what’s occurring.

Any half decent DOF would have sorted this out though. Full pressure on his agent and active work to get him out of the club.

This.

Yet he's let, not only the clubs highest paid player but highest in the championship, to sit at home. He's draining the club resources.

The situation is bizarre.

A decision needs to be made asap regarding Winks. The team is now short of players at 8 9 10 along with full backs.Winks when on his game provides fluency decent passing and a bit of control in midfield. I don’t know how big the barriers have become to return but you can add another central midfielder to the list if there is no way back. The chances of the club delivering on all these gaps seem to be close to zero.

It has been stated he is a disruptive influence. The one thing Cifuentes has done right is exile him. No way back exit only the sooner the better but unlikely as no one wants a toxic employee. Skipp has been a revelation since winks has been sidelined. Most likely scenario he sits collecting the money till his contract runs out.

In a way sitting on his contract shows the man he is .... if he was decent and slightly ambitious or professional.... he would negotiate an early termination to his contract .... find another club and a signing on fee and start playing football again ... or if not just keep being the privileged spoilt brat

Jordan James says hello…

Agree James pi55es all over him.  Whether he will be "ours" or not in 6 months time is another matter

Unfortunately other clubs in England are very aware of what he is like, which isn’t helping matters.

Still, one would have to think there’s been more than enough time for the DoF to figure something out re: one of our biggest problems in the squad.

Winksy has turned out to be a very stubborn whiney and ungrateful player. His talent and potential are the only tricks he has left in the bag to give himself any credit. At some point he is gonna fully rot by not playing competitively week in week out. If he’s still stinking up the place come summer I reckon most decent clubs will have forgotten about him. He can eat humble pie and transfer to another championship club or even lower.

I’ve lost all respect for him and his bad behaviour towards everybody. Terrible professional.

No rumours of interest in him either 🙄

He’s been offered to a few English PL clubs. None have taken up the offer….. funny that.

They’re both contracted until the end of the season so the loan argument is redundant.
