To be fair, I think the option was around £15m and I imagine they probably didn't want to match whatever obscene amount we were offering. I think he was very much a Danny Simpson type there, solid but unspectacular, so if they could replace him cheaply then that made sense for them.

When assessing the vast proportion of the players we have signed over the last 5 years, one can only assume that the recruitment teams policy were to sign players who are;

 

1. Thick

2. Lazy

3. Weak

4. Entitled

5. Arrogant

 

These viruses like Kristiansen have then spread their negativity and toxicity on to the other weak willed players already here. I dont think ive ever seen Kristiansen smile or say anything positive in the 3 and a half years hes been here.

 

So many of our players look like they dont want to be here, and have never actually wanted to be here, and thats the main issue.

He was priced at around £13m back then (15m Euro)... Bologna instead went for Remo Freuler, who was and still is a way better option, albeit in midfield.

There’s a lot of folk on here who don’t know a lot about football at all.

 

You can identify them by seeing whether they reference a striker as a No9. Or think that a keeper playing short balls out from the back doesn’t lead to more goals being conceded.

 

Pretty sure there were some people who had to look up the ‘triple parallelogram’ formation I satirically said that Martí likes to implement when he was rumoured to be joining us.
