It's an absolute must to add at least 3 forward thinking players before the end of the window. Against a better side, we'd have been behind and I'd struggle to see a way back as there's not many goals in this team.

It bothers me a bit when we get in a decent position and seem to just pass back to defence, we did it with a corner against Coventry and numerous times today in the second half.

The half time grown men wetting the bed in the match thread don’t deserve that win. Bloody embarrassing.

 

Thats a promotion win, not at your best but still find a way.

 

Not only has Enzo instilled a new style of football he’s also given us a massive set of bollocks which I didn’t think was possible with this group. What a man!

 

Still desperate for a RW, centre mid and probably another striker though.

Shows you how sometimes stats can be misleading. Makes it seem like this was a comfortable game, but it was anything but!

 

Overall, it was a tepid performance, but we do see some progression in the side and their style of play. Mavididi today was becoming more and more effective, he had a lucky goal, but he was causing a lot of problems throughout. I think Maresca will be disappointed with both of the high 8's today, neither really did that much though KDH did look like a threat. Praet I thought was poor in both the attacking midfielder and winger role, and not just because of his miss, but his overall game was not that effective.

 

Iheanacho I think was a bit selfish and could have played others in a bit more than he did. I also think he came too deep a lot of the time, which meant there was a man missing to create a goal threat.

 

2 wins in a row though, 2 clean sheets in a row too. All whilst suffering huge player turnover and learning a new style. But we absolutely need some more attacking / creative players, this is a team that lost Tielemans, Maddison and Barnes and it shows. Mavididi is effective, I think he will get found out in the Premier League, but defenders find him tough to deal with in this division.

 

Wout Faes was really good. Other than one clearance where he just kicked it straight up, he dealt with everything thrown at him easily.

Huddersfield also won't lose many at home, awful to play against, big strong and have a shithouse manager who knows how to get results.

 

We have a new manager and a squad in total transition.....thats a fvcking excellent win

100% agree, and luckily our manager clearly sees the same thing too. I'm sure we will get those players in, but it probably involves multiple deals on deadline day.

 

I just hope we don't drop too many points before now and then.

Well what I can say, the 10 mins or so before we scored we were totally dominant, even when in our half they looked knackered and dead, we were able to stroll with the ball and stuff.  However we then sat back at 1-0 and had to take a 10 minute or so spell of constant pressure when really we should carried on as we were, still we won the match, but it felt closer than it should have been.

 

Same as before, we need some players that can break down defences.

They certainly are, you get local comms to the home team. And I wasn't joking when I said I enjoyed it. The salt levels will season my chips tonight.

The rest were pretty average to be honest. Nobody really had a bad game.

I thought Doyle at times was woeful.
