Gutted he's injured, was on great form. Hopefully only a few weeks out and hopefully back by November.

But an injury to one is an opportunity for another.

Let's see Yunus, Fatawu, Wanya all step up.

I don't think the injury will be a long one to be honest, when he first pulled up and went down, it honestly looked like he was brought to tears so I was thinking he'd had a proper tear, but once he got up and started moving by the time he was around the pitch he was walking on it, albeit gingerly. I think if he'd done a big injury he would be avoiding putting weight on it let alone walking off.

Agreed in hindsight the warm up may not have been warm enough. He did the right thing going down and there is a level of shock in these injuries when they hit.Hope for the best

Why do some City fans on here spell his name incorrectly (Casey)? I'm surprised any City fan wouldn't be aware of this. We also had it with Schmeichel - bizarrely referring to him as Casper, even after he had been with us for many years. Don't know why but I find it annoying!

His Dad is Jason McAteer?! lol

I suppose people of my generation assume someone with an Irish name can play for Ireland but considering he was born post 2000 it's not surprising the link is too far back now.

Has a lovely dandruff-free head of hair has our Casey, just like his old man

Some people are dyslexic, some people don’t have English as their 1st language, some people don’t care. If they’re understandable, who cares?

First 2 cases, fair enough. Your last point is just lazy and it's disrespectful (not a massive issue before you think I'm super offended by it) When you've got a name that people can't spell, it's bloody annoying. A stupid thing but a thing nonetheless. Personally, it just makes people look thick when they can't be bothered to get their own players' name right.

Chris Woods was the best one lol:frusty:

Only those people who think that they are far superior in intelligence than the average football supporter. That's who.

Wonder if he would have made the U21 squad if he wasn’t injured? Plenty of players in there in the championship currently and he’s still just about in age range.

I'd thought this too, I think he'd have just missed this one but if he'd put another 2-3 goals away in the rest of October and early November then he'd have definitely been called up the next time.

Still a good chance this season I reckon, think you can be up to 23 with the right birthday or something can't you?

Decided to play for Ireland it seems.

Good luck to him. The more football he gets will be all the more beneficial for us right now I think. Hopefully he'll be fit for the next international window?
