I really think he will be going. 
With McKenna now being linked to Man United as well, we have Chelsea, Brighton and Man United looking for new managers. Feel sure he will be gone.

Even if we're sold we'll be at the mercy of the top 6? 

We aren't poor, the system doesn't allow clubs to spend due to smaller infrastructure compared to the 'bigger' clubs. 

 

You're aware us changing owners won't miraculously fix everything and has us as a top 6 side right?

If... IF McKenna to MU is the story, then no way that Enzo to Chel is resolved until Sunday at the earliest

Even if he doesn´t go he will be "dead man walking" at Leicester. So if not now then surely when another "better and bigger" opportunity arises. He has signalled his intent so start preparing the manager change....

This is all excellent news for whoever wins the playoff final on Sunday. Need it sorted quick so we can plan our transfer strategy.

Could be turning into a disaster of a close season. Not because Maresca might be leaving but because history tells us that our Board are slower than snails at making big Managerial decisions.

I know nothing but I reckon that enzo woud have asked to speak to Chelsea and been granted permission to have an initial meeting. I also think that given his experience here with the finances, he would have wanted a face to face meeting to ask some searching questions ref finances, other outstanding issues with governance and rumours ref board interference with day to day squad issues. 
 

I think he would return back to filbert way and tell our board that he wishes to sign a year’s extension to his current deal (on improved terms - inc increase to compensation clause). (Unless the Chelsea hierarchy are the best poker players in the world).

Not fussed either way if he stays or not but If he does end up staying I just hope he doesn’t manage to get himself a new contract like Rodgers did.

Yeh but maybe 18th now rather than 20th 😂.

 

To be fair I don't rate either of the managers in the playoff final. But this noise and upheaval around us and Ipswich does feel like we start on the back foot.

Sure. But I'd guess we've been identifying players who fit this system, which now may change. I'd like to think we're organised enough to pivot quickly but it's a bit of a blindside.

 

May also affect who we want to sell?

EPL / EFL to introduce a manager roulette to maximise this new found excitement?

  • Every 6 months every club draws lots on who will be their next manager for the next 6 months
  • This would be shown exclusively live* on Sky with a star studded cast lead by Kaveh Solhekol 
  • They would add an American wildcard manager every 12 months into the mix to spice things up
  • Those in Europe can "veto" their choice a certain number of time, this being decided by a factor related to their revenue (and/or contributions to the good of mankind)
  • We provide token acknowledgement to THE PYRAMID a non-league manager would also feature in this joyous roulette and features on an accompanying Cash in Attic type series

I really don't know why people have decided that Enzo has asked to leave or is looking to force a move away? Whilst this is possible all we have at the moment is the normal media circus.

 

Everytime anyone is linked anywhere journalists say X would be keen to move their even if they have no idea because it is a safe bet and gets them clicks.

 

Of course he is probably being considered but that is all we know nothing more there is no suggestion he hs trying to force anything other than the usual hysterics on here and on twitter
