Of course there are too many, we give them a week to position themselves. We keep transitioning the ball from the left wing to the right wing, and give them all the time they need to move across the pitch. The reason there is no space to shoot is because we are walking.

The problem is that as of now, it's working. They've even had the best chance!

 

It was always going to take time, but after a good start, we look a bit clueless.

 

I doubt he will do it, but I would be tempted to sacrifice one of the back 3 to add another forward or midfielder. Southampton invert both fullbacks for this reason. At the moment we are making chances through the diagonal switch to our wingers. To be fair, Mavididi has been one of our better players this half. But if all we are doing is hoping he or Fatawu do something special, we might not break them down.

 

I did say that if ever there was going to be a 0-0, this was the game for it.

Some shocking officiating at times. 
 

Can’t tell how much it’s down to Preston defending well (they are), or how much of it is down to us missing Vesty/Doyle passing to start moves (we are) to this point, but I think this will end 0-0.

Seriously. Going down holding your head, when you have not been hit should just be automatic 10 game ban. The refs could do better, but they really do not get any help from playacting players.

 

Tiki Taka vs. The Parked Bus today and the parked bus has been closer to a goal than we have. Need some quality in the final 3rd. JJ needs to stop giving the ball away.

When you are playing against two banks of 4, who are narrow and deep, you need to draw them out by moving the ball quicker. This game needs Yanus.

The only positive of that half is that we’re not losing. Fair play to Preston for the discipline in their shape but we’re too slow to get it wide, it’s easy to defend if you play in the areas where they’ve put 10 players. And when we do get it wide both wide players have been terrible

Doyle is a big miss. He makes great runs into the opponents final third to create space for others.  JJ is far too deep

We need some ideas out there. As we will face this defensive strategy lots this season. We need to have a plan B or C to unpick a 10 man defence

Crap half. Always had the danger of being like this, they have been defensive but much more if a threat. 

 

Fatawu has a good switch what else has he got? Needs to be braver. 

Not a game for Ndidi and KDH's first touch. And unfortunately Vardy at home to this type of defence is barely involved. 

 

Up to Enzo to find a way. This style can be dull against defensive teams.
