It's been an absolute revelation the football, the vibrancy of the team, the ruthless, relentlessness of the manager. I haven't enjoyed football like this since post lockdown. Such a contrast to the creeping slow car crash of last season.

I think we were pretty awesome against Man utd in the fa cup QF, but also agree you can count the amount of enjoyable matches in the last 3.5 years almost on one hand, out of maybe 180 matches.

Excellent so far, we’ve hit the ground running and couldn’t of wished for a better start but the Championship is a long old slog, a marathon not a sprint and currently we’ve only played 1 team out of the top 6 as it stands.
Im loving it so far but trying not to get carried away, where we sit at Christmas will give a much better idea of what division we are likely to be in next season.

I thought I'd enjoy winning games again, which I do but not as much as I thought I would.

The tippy tappy around the back line has me having kittens and bouts of severe stomach cramp with the raised anxiety levels. I don't think the current side is an improvement over the one that failed miserably last year other than we do have a proper keeper which is a massive upgrade. You see many sides run away with the Championship but then go on to struggle in the EPL, we did that ourselves in 2014/15 after going over 100pts in the Championship. I have a gut feeling that we are a few players short of a stable Premier league return.

Soumare is on loan to Sevilla FC, Daka and Souttar I doubt will feature much at all, unless injuries or suspensions happen.

Hadn't spotted Soumare but doubt he features for us again. Daka and Souttar are a real shame. Feels like a waste.

Ability wise maybe. Attitude wise, fitness wise and application wise they are streets ahead. They actually look like a team. A team enjoying what they are doing, unlike last year who looked like a team bereft of ideas and confidence as well as a poor attitude regarding giving their all for the club. I'm sure there will be a further rebuild in the Summer should we be promoted with further additions to accommodate our Premier League survival and sustainability.

I think he has done a great job with bringing in so many new players, the only thing that I don’t like is his playing out from the back , NOW I don’t mean playing out from the back but this letting the opposition coming into the 6 yard box and mads trying to pass to a player with a player right up his arse , it is a recipe for disaster, as we have seen . Love his attacking style and having wingers who know how to attack , I give him 8.5

it's the catch of playing this style. pissing around at the back sucks the other team out and makes space for the nice attacking play

9/10.

I’d rate Maresca a 10/10, and there isn’t a whole lot I can add about him and the squad that’s already been said here.

The one area where I have concerns is squad management/transfers. We still have two surplus goalkeepers on the books. If we’re stuck with them through the season, I  wouldn’t want that to be a roadblock that prevents us from making a signing in January that can help the team finish the season strongly.

8.5/10

Results 10/10 as you can’t win every game.

Performances 7/10. Still some to go, last night was very forgettable for an hour and we have huffed and puffed at home.

So 8.5 as a mid point between the two.

This is an insult to the New manager & new player set up..This is completely a new side...Tell me who Enzo,or the fans

Believe are the stars...they would say all plus the character with no name...just the system..Which will evolve, but not ready for the PL..

Rodgers set up can't compare to this new regime..If we had pushed Rodgers earlier we would of only delayed the inevitable..

The club It needed the crap season and outcome to accidently reasses itself..

I don't believe even now club management are in clear or sure of what's happening.

Neither despite the system which has been introduced by Enzo-team can they understand this hight of its early success. We have 98% of individuals, even suprise packages the individuals playing on just above decent  or average,no real individual having a 75-90 minute stand out performance ,but all have their short excellent moments that on various gameday has created a "whole"

team performance, but still full of holes...

And it's leaving us all,I am sure exstatically high as kites, but we can't put a finger on the why..Other the reality of the End result..It's like having Mary Poppins has our Guardian angel..

.

.

I have absolutely zero idea what you are saying, but giving a rep for somehow getting Mary Poppins in there.

Well, it’s been bloomin fantastic hasnt it!! I was worried that with the pre-season we had in Asia, high turnover in players, new manager and completely new style of play we would start slowly!!!!!

Don’t get me wrong, we’re still having some teething problems, and will continue to, but I think you can see over the past couple of weeks that we’re starting to get even better. The players are becoming more fluid in their play, confidence has been well and truly restored and it’s a joy to see!

I would give us a 9.9/10!

8.5/10
the Hull loss -1
the literal standing on the ball for extended periods -.5

exciting times when we play properly and a feeling of positivity that has replaced the awful feelings from last 18 months

10/10. Simply for the fact that for the first 10 games implementing a totally new way of playing there is expected to be a period of bedding in, and a few iffy results. We have the joint best championship start after 10 games. Exceptional.

None of which answers the question from the OP.

I don't think this side could be any more improved from last year.

Ndidi looked a shadow of the player that arrived here 6 years ago and is now an attacking midfielder providing goals and assists.

Nacho looks happy to be involved, Vardy looks two years younger, players looking for the exit like Choudhury, Praet and Vestergaard look like they're new signings.

We don't concede from EVERY set piece

The players look confident in the style and playing football in every part of the pitch.

We are keeping clean sheets

We look dangerous in attack

Squad harmony is at Ranieri/O'Neill levels.

The tippy happy football you refer to seems to have been misunderstood by a few people but after Preston it should be crystal clear - suck the opposition in, pull them out of their shape, 3 quick passes - goal. It's not Brendan all, it's not possession for the sake of it, it's leading to something.

Every Championship side is short of a few Prem-level players but it's October, it's not important right now, the start has been amazing.

Positive from the games played, positive outlook for future games.

9/10

Just need the fans to get used to it and be less fearful, must admit I am already finding the playing out/around at the back quite exciting, although maybe that is the jeopardy talking

I'm not sure some people even know what they want. What we're witnessing is nothing like what Brendan Ball. Slow, with no pace and poor at the back.

What we're seeing now is Chess on a football field. Played with Skill, Pace at times, The long Ball when it's on, Clean sheets and plenty of Goals. From a group of Players

playing with Confidence and for the Manager and Fans. Time will tell where we finish but for now it's a breath of fresh air and all the signs are good.

How could anyone not be excited by Kelechi's move he started and nearly finished himself. Or Madensen's long Ball to release Mavididi.

Both moves are as close to perfect Football as you're likely to see on a football pitch.

Enzo is proving himself to be a Top Top Manger and whoever decided to go for him deserves a lot of credit.

His knowledge of the game is incredible. But it's not just that, His Man Management is up there with the greats Pearson, O'Neill, Ranieri when it comes to handling players.

I've every confidence he'll see us achieve promotion. Then go on to even better success in the future provided the club give him the financial support needed in the Premiership.

Anyone not liking it, is most likely following the wrong sport.
