We've had an frankly unbelievable run of 3rd Round draws. 8 out of the last 9 have been Premier League teams and the other one was a team just relegated.

2016: West Ham (PL)
2017: Stoke (PL)
2018: Swansea (PL)
2019: Liverpool (PL)
2020: Man Utd (PL)
2021: Crystal Palace (PL)
2022: Sheff Utd
2023: Liverpool (PL)
2024: Brentford (PL)

The odds on that would be staggering.

I saw Millwall fans moaning about our draw because their last tie outside of London was in 17/18.

In that time they've either lost at home or played away in London lol

Surely more attractive games than watching 4 reserve sides.

Like POSH v Leeds as an example.

And I wanted to see my local team beating your lot!

Sunderland v Newcastle was always going to be the best one. Proper derby.

Middlesbrough v Villa might be a decent game too but rest are boring. Spurs v Burnley lol Who picked that.

Barnsley fielded an ineligible player; Barnsley kicked out the cup

Forest green had an ineligible player on the bench; game to be replayed.

Same admin error however

Never been more obvious that they don't care about anything other than viewing figures. Some shit there but Palace v Everton lol

Blimey, where did you forage to get that statistic from?  You're dead right,  though, it's obscene how Man U are seen as an entity apart from any other team, no matter how crap is their play.

Spuds v Burnley... itv one friday night🤔 why?  As much as wrexham are getting tad too much coverage id rather see their match on tele against Shrewsbury, than watch spuds walk over Burnley.

Probably because most London teams are at home. It's a shocking TV pick but they've got to be spaced out somehow. Remember Arsenal got drawn at home too.

The biggest side in the country being clamoured after by broadcasters - who’d have thought! Does anyone really care?

The difficulty is that ITV and BBC have to substantiate their expenditure with audience. Harsh reality is those non PL games don’t get the audience numbers.

Which in turn means they might pay less for the coverage in future and when a lower league team does get a decent draw, they get a lower amount.

Also fans of the National League aides, certainly the big ones, have said it puts the games on at awkward kick off times which actually hurts them when it comes everything else including policing bills
