So how many games do we think we will lose this season in the league and which teams are the victors?

l think 5 ( including Hull).

Leeds. At Home

Coventry away

Ipswich away

Sunderland away

I don't like the fact we play the teams in 2nd and 3rd on the remembrance fixture and boxing day - probably the two days we do worst on.

Sort of interesting parallel and ahderes  to my earlier topic.

Importantly that at present we can carry losses/draws that won't upset the end goal or balance of the squad..

While we are sitting in that fine seat, without being arrogant or entitled, I just want to see how far we can push it out

before next loss and hold onto a record of no further losses..

Every game a 3 or 1 pointer, Any game from now on, is advantage to us, the opposition desperate to take our scalp, but us staying positive accepting the inevitable, eventually could happen, doesn't mean it should.

West Brom (H) - a fixture we traditionally do terribly in

Watford (A) - a fixture which always worries me

Huddersfield/ Millwall (A) - there's going to be another sickening 0-1 smash and grab against a physical, defensive side and they would be good contenders for it.

As an aside if this happens to only lose two away games all season would be fantastic.

we should have beaten hull (tey burried theri one change) - fiair play to hull.
WE could have lost or drawn with Cov, sunderland, Qpr, rotherham - so we are just as likely to lose against a poor side as a good one.  I don't expect us to drop more than 20 points.

18 to go.. Either 6x3, or a slow accumaltive of 9 game draws.

Which 2 other teams not only have to reach & surpass, then better.

Crazy just compare this with last year

Because it’s literally a complete guess and nobody can really know

We're in a rich vein of form right now. It's unrealistic to assume it will continue for much longer.  When it does finally break I suspect that come the end of the season we'll look back and see that this was the best form of the season.

Realistically, I would hope that we don't lose more than 6 all season, especially if we have ambition to win it.

This is the Championship though, so defeats could literally come from anywhere.

We've amassed 39 points from a possible 42 and people are still predicting us to lose to 18th placed Cov and big scary Leeds

I genuinely love this forum lol

Sorry but we had 1 shot on target against Hull. At home. I think the game was more a draw then a win either way.

Yes, out of 21. With like 70% possession or something.

We absolutely battered them and just couldn't finish that's the point.

The standard in the division is poor and with the exception of Blackburn and Sunderland we have not really been tested - each week Enzo will be getting more messages across and we will get better although AFCON will have a significant impact.

Enzo won’t say it but our squad is the best by a mile and we should be breaking all records and come Jan I expect more investment to get us closer to Prem standard - the step up is huge and although we should not be arrogant or complacent we should have every confidence after this start to win the league - I do think Ipswich will stay the course and probably Leeds are next best - be a good test on Friday !

I don't see us drawing many games because we don't concede two goals or more per game even at this stage, we are defensively sound. We don't lose many either.

I think we will definitely beat Reading's 106 point record at this level.

Arsenal, home and away.

Liverpool away.

That still pi55es me off that Arse did the double on us. Even though we finished 10pts clear of them.

Hard to see where the next loss is coming from we will probably draw a few where teams just sit ina deep block but we seem to find away through that anyway Hull loss was still early in the season.

I think we will draw 5 or 6 games can’t see us losing

It shouldn’t do. Both defeats had hugely positive impacts on the title win. The first led Claudio to re-shape the defence; the second - as many players subsequently acknowledged - was a major motivator in the (undefeated) run-in.

Think this should definitely be the aim for us this season, as impressive as that Reading side were. Their record that season was P46 W31 D13 L2 for comparison.

We did batter them but I wouldn't say we deserved to win with only 1 shot on target. As I said I felt the game should have been a draw.
