Tonight shows just how far we’ve come since August. When we played these at home I thought they were a decent side and they’d be really pushing the playoffs. 
 

We cruised through that game, sometimes played at walking pace. Never looked like were going to concede. Chose when we wanted to try and open them up and looked decent when countering. It’s been a very solid 6 days for us over the most testing of periods.

I liked the way they started off optimistically - ‘it we can hold out we might nick a goal’ and eventually  ended up stating no-one can defend against us - ‘if they cover the wingers our 8’s will get in and vice versa!’

Totally agree. They were obviously home biased but very complimentary and said we were the best team they have seen by far

Hermansen, Faes, Hamza, Justin, Winks, KDH, Ndidi, Mavididi, Fatawu all cracking. 

Vestergaard a bit ponderous and played people into danger a few times.

Daka was Cardiff's most creative player as Elliot said and should have been hooked at half time. First touch like the Yorkshire ripper and composure of a 12yo at a Taylor Swift concert.

Yeah, I actually quite enjoyed the Cardiff commentary too. They were talking up Cardiff (which they obviously have to do!), but were really complimentary of us. Not sure who the co-commentator was, but his analysis of our tactics was pretty good, better than you get from Tags anyway.

They were clearly hurt that they were losing, but as they actually understood the game, they couldn’t help purring about how we were playing…

I'm starting to think unless you get Haaland in there, every striker will struggle in this formation, they're almost the spare man. Nacho comes deep to join in, Jamie's role is occupying defenders and Daka can't find his feet unless he's ten yards out goal at his mercy. It's almost worth going with an extra midfielder and just playing false 9s.

Another good win. Still.dont like this fannying around passing it around at the back. We do that in the prem and will get punished.

 

Even better Ipswich drew and the dirty Leeds scum lost as well so all the pundits can maybe stop creaming themselves about the both of them for a while and give us credit where its due.
