"We obviously aren't selling Schmeichel and playing Ward in goal, and then selling our best defender 2 days before transfer deadline day and replacing him with someone for 55M less and making no additional signings. We also won't keep a manager that loses 6 games in a row, and 7 out of 8 till late on in the season when it's too late, then have no plan with whom to replace him with and then hire Dean Smith after Jesse Marsch turns us down." All these things happened last season. I do sincerely hope we aren't going to do something stupid, and rationally you probably are right. But having literally lived through a car crash of a season last time round, I and many others are very nervous. I don't know about you, but my phone has been blowing up over the last few hours. Fans are angry and confused. 27 1

Sell KDH, replace him with Danny Drinkwater on a free, don’t replace Casadei and begin the slide to 7th place already. Edited 26 January 2024 by FoxesWalk 1

Royston. Posted 27 January 2024 Posted 27 January 2024 We signed Sensi in the first week of January but he got injured in the photo shoot so we've been trolling the media until he is available again.

You have more faith in Whelan and Top than me then. Club has made some absolute nonsense decisions in recent times. 1

Fans are angry and confused. A number of fair points. However, can I say for some balance Fofana was clearly unsettled late in the window and was never going to stay or be happy to stay. We had limited time to really do much business after he'd gone and he's also a complete sick note. We got what now looks like a decent player in Faes to replace him. We keep him, he gets injured or puts in half hearted performances then loads on here are whining about it. I think there is less blame to lay at the club's door for that. The same people now complaining about us potentially selling players will be the first to howl at the moon if we breach FFP, of course. Keeping Rodgers was the biggie, when virtually everyone could see the party was over long before the club. I do think much of the poor decision making at player level stems from that malaise including the bonkers decision to keep playing Ward. Our relegation was a huge and unnecessary mistake. But again for balance. We have since got more things right than wrong. The manager being a pretty key one. Also quick player sales to ensure we could make our own purchases early in the summer (but, of course, some moan we undersold our assets, they'd also moan if we didn't sell our assets). Those players brought in have had an almost immediate impact, bar probably Coady but then did any single person on this forum forsee Vesty's renaissance? There is more than a whiff of hysteria amongst our fanbase at this point over a simple rumour. Have we learnt our lessons, well more time is needed really to answer that question. But the immediate reflex reaction to absolute sh1t the bed amongst our fan base is pretty bloody weird imo. Or maybe I'm the weird one and the KDH hysteria thread is normality. In which case I'm having an existential crisis... Edit - so good I quoted you twice! Edited 27 January 2024 by Bordersfox 6
alanf0x Posted 27 January 2024 Posted 27 January 2024 To think people were saying it was a risk to sign him alongside KDH, Winks and Wilf…imagine the meltdown when he turns out to be KDH replacement
Popular Post Pliskin Posted 27 January 2024 Popular Post Posted 27 January 2024 I know Tanner isn’t the most reliable, but he’s suggesting there’s nothing in the pipeline at all…. Bring back Ceefax, all of this social media rumour bollocks is annoying. 5
Popular Post Mr Weller 2 Posted 27 January 2024 Popular Post Posted 27 January 2024 KDH is going nowhere for goodness sake. Some people panic at the first sign of a story. 4 1 2

I’ve seen a lot of contracts over the years and football transfers and player contracts are proper back of a fag packet stuff. They take 20 minutes, with a bit of time to spare - plug a few numbers in.
