LVFox Posted 23 January 2024 Posted 23 January 2024 Stolaryczyk Ricardo Nelson Coady Doyle Hamza Praet. Akgun Albrighton. Mavididi Vardy Thought the Vardy/Akgun partnership showed a little flash of promise last night.

Add to that the excitement if we get another decent draw with the prospect of a quarter final on the horizon. This, and also I still think it's utterly shit to get knocked out of the FA Cup in the early rounds. A real low moment in any season for me when you see another team progressing at your expense that you know you should've beaten, especially at home.
goose2010 Posted 23 January 2024 Posted 23 January 2024 This is an important game for me, we need to build confidence and get some good performances from the rest of the squad. It would be great if the likes of Akgun, Vardy, Doyle are banging on Enzo's door Monday wanting a spot against Swansea / Stoke. We need the squad to start pulling their weight especially when we have 2 or 3 first teamers out. 2

FoxinNotts Posted 23 January 2024 Posted 23 January 2024 (edited) Problem for me, is the same issue we've had all season - how can we rest Winks bearing in mind the system which we play, for the cup games! Answer: we can't! Stolaryczyk Coady. Vestergaard. Doyle Choudhury Winks. Akgun. Praet. Albrighton Vardy. Marcal Hermansen. Ricardo. Justin. Faes. Nelson KDH Mavididi McAteer Cannon Should be enough to beat Brum at home, and also rest in the areas which we need to (apart from Winksy, obviously) Edited 23 January 2024 by FoxinNotts
Daggers Posted 23 January 2024 Posted 23 January 2024 Absolutely nobody important should be anywhere near the starting 11.

Ricardo could comfortably play the Winks role in that position. The Cup game would be a perfect time to try him there. Edited 23 January 2024 by Clever Fox Add more.

We've also controlled possession in so many games, so have done a lot less chasing. Absolutely no reason why we should look shattered. Unless its mental tiredness?
Leicesterpool Posted 23 January 2024 Posted 23 January 2024 (edited) Think after the drop points in the last two, I think Enzo may select a strong XI and really go for this. Wouldn't do morale any good to have no win in three. I really keen to see Cannon and Vardy start together, there's opportunity for some special there. Small Heath won't be an easy fixture now under Mowbray, his teams tend to be hard to beat as we seen with former Sunderland side down the KP. Sadly 4k Blue nose supporters will be making a lot of noise on their big day out. Edited 23 January 2024 by Leicesterpool

Poznan34 Posted 23 January 2024 Posted 23 January 2024 It's the FA Cup! A chance for a trip to Wembley! A cup run! Win on Saturday and we're two games from Wembley. This is what it's all about. If this team is as good as most people think it is, we can certainly manage a cup run alongside promotion. You only have to look to last season - Sheff Utd got to the semis last season whilst getting promoted. 2
Dr The Singh Posted 23 January 2024 Posted 23 January 2024 Rooney vs Vardy derby, looking forward to it. 1 1

Honestly think if we don’t play Winks, we lose. As others have said, we have to win this now, having three poor results on the bounce, could really hurt morale and over all momentum

What we really need a big physical midfielder who can also play football. But Ricardo would be the best we have to step into the Winks role from the present squad.
weller54 Posted 23 January 2024 Posted 23 January 2024 3-1 defeat. Brum with the new Manager bounce are starting to tick.
fuchsntf Posted 24 January 2024 Posted 24 January 2024 So taking in the pain of Forest & Blackburn… We have our own New manager Bounce totally new squad No baggage, belief in building up something special to contradict that old Leicester DNA….4-2 to the sprightly Foxes. For some weird reason,it seems some fans are already falling on their swords predicting “we are doomed” scenario, where in fact nobody or no period has put us in a form that should cast such doubts. We are about to switch into our. Dirty face,no angels mode and go into another unbeaten stretch..

coolhandfox Posted 24 January 2024 Posted 24 January 2024 Need to get some fitness into the likes of Akgun, Praet and Vardy.
ARM1968 Posted 24 January 2024 Posted 24 January 2024 They will close us down with energy and push us pretty much like all the teams who have beaten us have done. Think Enzo rotates and we lose this one too. It’s fun being a foxes fan.
