Norwich (H) - pre-match

Recommended Posts

It will be the same. Ricky P likely, Daka for Vardy hopefully. Rest will be pretty much the same. Approach will be the same. Outcome likely other same.

Mind you it would be typical Leicester to get a great result, raise expectations again and then let us all down even harder.

Maybe not.....grasping at straws for inspiration / positivity could come from. Back to the red wine it is then ;D

Yes I understand that, But it would'nt be right to do that. It could set the young lad back years.

I know Enzo rates him highly, and I think it was part of the plan to play him in the closing games. Unfortunately the senior players have messed things recently.

So I think it may be the Summer or new season before we see him and Alves.

Need Coady in, not because he is any better than Faes particularly, but he's a leader and we need as many of those out on the pitch motivating others at the moment. It shouldn't be defenders that are changing games as we should have enough quality to make their roles easier, but those in front of them and I feel Coady could be more inspirational in encouraging and organising others.

I think it's probably better at this point to play a team on form than one were expected to beat. Slightly less pressure. Downside is that they're a good side though, and a win is far from guaranteed. Be a good one to break the run going into three winnable games though.

Iheanacho?

The thought of adding another “won’t be here in July” player to our already weak minded starting 11 just baffles me if I’m being honest.

What from his cameo on Friday suggested he should start?

Fatawu looks terrified to make a mistake and Mavididi just has his head down constantly. Both need to up it, sick to death of playing ****ing hiding

I've been talking about this with a few people.  We have arguably the two best wingers in the league in mavididi and fatawu and they don't take the full back on nearly enough.  It can only be fear or they've been told don't lose the ball under any circumstances, which will happen if you take the full back on 50% of the time.  But the other 50% of the time you can put the ball in or defenders scared to death of giving away a penalty so they get a free (ISH) run at goal....a la Chelsea.  You have to take risks to win games

We should be trying to make the KP a fortress so that the opposition sh1t the bed. Instead it will be people turning up late, moaning, filtering out 5 mins before the end of each half. Despair of our lot sometimes.

None of our available strikers will be here in July.

Regarding Friday, he had half a chance (admittedly offside) and stuck it away whereas Vardy missed two much easier chances.

Have we really? Id like you to tell me how?

That sounds passive agressive and it probably is. But tell me.

We don't play anything like we were when we were winning.

The patterns have gone. Earlier in the season it was obvious that we played triangles with Winks the point. Do you really see that now? We play long in blind panic. I mean just look at the possession stats as a simple indicator:

Bristol: 61%

Hull: 49%

Sunderland: 51%

QPR: 74%

Leeds: 40%

1 game in 5 we've truly dominated the ball. Our fan base will love that. Long gone are the days of regular 70%+ possession. Class.

We press higher than we did. This is why we're absolutely knackered at the end of games now and also why teams find it easier to pose us a problem defensively, so our shape is all over the place.

Our midfielders don't attack the box the way they were doing.

Wout Faes runs the length of the football pitch on average 5 times per bastard game.

We're no longer patient.

Not boring, though, is it? Proper promotion race on our hands now. Dominating the league was too boring for our fans. Happy now?

Really does my head in how our fan base thinks they had it right all along and these results were always coming.

No they weren't. Not if we carried on playing how we were.

A massive switch up needed. If available, I’d put in Nelson & Coady, Ricardo. Mcateer. Cannon. Albrighton & wanya.

yeah id be tempted to ring the changes but could backfire so thats why ill stay in my seat and watch. someone posted vardy puts them 2 near misses away at bristol and its different storey , and they weren't open goals tho hel feel it.

I’m fairly confident that “if” we get promoted that Daka (still under contract) and Vardy (re-signs) will be here if being honest.

Vardy himself wouldn’t excuse his finishing on Friday but recent form he’s still been our best striker and our GOAT.

Kelechi hasn’t had one game over 7/10 all season so just find his name being spouted as our saviour a bit strange, especially considering my comment re: Daka and Vardy being here next season if get promoted.

Another Gutless performance more than likely.

Only hope is that Captain Blackbeard puts his ego to one side for the sake of the Club and drops Faes for Coady. Hamza is replaced by Ricardo. One foot KDH stops day dreaming of his summer move. Mavididi stops sulking. Winks finds some kind of form (been months!!). Ndidi stops counting down the games he's got left for us (Tielemansesque). Vardy is benched. Cannon is fit and given a F**king chance (because Daka is shite and Nacho isn't arsed!!)...if that all comes together we might scrape a lucky 1-0 win.

... but more realistically we'll get beat by a couple of goals.

Cant see anything of late to see us turn around this terrible form.

Most fans will still be half asleep due to the early KO and the players will be their usual lethargic self.

Cant even be bothered to be be optimistic pre match thinking we will win as I know come 90 minutes the hope would have been wasted like on numerous occasions this calendar year.

What a frcking wasted chance this season.

W@nkers.

It feels like fatawu has been told to play a certain way and keep the ball. Completely anonymous

Two definite changes need to be Doyle at LB and Ricardo at inverted RB. Choudhury should be dropped for YET AGAIN not closing down his man at the edge of the box resulting in a goal (Obviously Ricardo offers more potential going forward anyway.) As for Justin he was way too negative, particularly with his passing which went mainly backwards slowly and were often miss hit. He showed some guts to come closest to the unhappy fans at the end of the match to applaud but he didn’t demonstrate that courage during the game.

I’ve seen a lot of calls for Coady over Faes but I’m not convinced he’s going to fix the problem. From what we’ve seen he’s got less pace than Faes and isn’t an improvement with the ball at his feet. Coady excelled at Wolves as the specialist centrally placed defender in a permanent back 3. Playing in Enzo’s set up, we only work a 3 when we are on the ball and that seems to be the weakest part of his game. As well as that, because of the skillset of Vesty, Coady has to play on the right, not the central position he was expected to play when he signed. For Wolves he had central defender teammates permanently either side of him so could drop deeper, not exposing his pace or his ball skills.

I’d bench Fatawu who has given up taking on his man in the last two games. Without his dribbling, he hasn’t offered enough and I would start either Yunus or Albrighton and maybe bring on Fatawu later as an impact sub, when he might have more confidence to take on a tired defence.

Coady was excellent vs Bournemouth and Sunderland, the only games we kept clean sheets in in ages. He's exactly what we need now. Faes spent most of yesterday arguing with Ndidi, his head has gone.

This is not a deliberate ploy, we've lost the plot and can no longer control possession. We give the ball away incessantly.

They both spend 5 minutes in space waving for Justin or Faes to ignore and pass backwards while Winks tells everyone to slow it down. By the time it gets to them they are doubled up on.  We have fast attacking wingers that have no space to run with the ball as we take too long to get it to them, when they do get it they usually have their backs to goal standing still.

We miss Doyle mixing it up by pinging balls into space rather than Vestagard blasting it into a crowded midfield every attack.
