Robins wont be out long... a lot of championship clubs will be interested. Next for Cov? Going to be Rowett you think?

Might even be our manager if we go down

Could Burton knock off the "on" and go from Mark Robinson to Mark Robins?

That would confuse some of the elderly fans!

I could see Wolves sacking O'Neil and bringing in Robins. They gave O'Neil a large contract but I'd assume that Robins salary demands would be a lot more reasonable compared to Potter, Moyes, etc.

Robins was amazing for Coventry, but they have an expensive squad. When you are at any organisation for 8 years, things are going to get stale. Robins can be both a good manager and it could be time for a change. A bit similar to Rodgers here in that respect. Many on here detest Rodgers, but he was very good for a few seasons and is doing well again in Scotland. He's a good manager, but during our relegation season, it was time for a change.

7 points off the play offs on the back of their best season in about 30 years and they sack him :D

Glad they seem to be going back to the basket case club they once were.

Robins did the best job in the football league over the past 5-7 years, unbelievable to think where Cov were when he took over and that's with having to deal with ownership and ground issues.

He does strike me as a manger that will be successful with the one club though, a bit like Pearson with us.

Cov fans threatening to rip up their season tickets about the prospect of Lampard in charge is quite entertaining.

Won't be easy ripping up a digital season ticket. Probably still have paper in Cov.

Perhaps Robins was just at Cov too long, sadly for him no decent opportunity came to make that step up. He could still do a job in the premier league if anyone wanted to take a gamble. However likely his next job will be in the championship. Hull City notable lost again and haven't won in six, there manager under pressure so don't rule out Robins ending up at North Yorkshire.

Referee is crap in the West Brom Burnley game. Goal disallowed for an invisible push on Styles.

Watched the replay several times to try and see it as well, no one claimed for the foul and strangely the Burnley player never reacted to it being disallowed

If it stays like this, West Brom will have had four 0-0 draws, two 1-0 wins and a 1-0 defeat at home this season.

WBA at home this season:

0-0

1-0
0-1

The manager gets lauded a lot but surely the fans must find it very dull and uninspiring.

Didn't see it but seems even Burnley had more chances and they are pretty shot shy too.

I mean basically if Leeds and probably Sheff United as they can combine goals and clean sheets well don't go up then they ought to be ashamed of themselves.

You wouldn't be surprised if a Luton or Coventry still go into a play-off place.

That's some turgid shite. Corberan used to be assistant to Bielsa, he can't have rated Bielsas football all that much.

Can't say I'm surprised about Robins, the club moving towards this new age head coach model and away from the traditional manager approach was never going to be a happy ending. Some of their leadership team staffing recruitments have been from those who have a traditional organisational background rather than coming through at a club. I imagine the writing has been on the wall for him and those in charge were looking for the first excuse to get him out the door.

I've said it time and time again on here I don't get the obsession with Corberan. Did a good job at Huddersfield but even in the play off final against Forest they had 0 shots on target. He seems very defensive to me and I think that works when you're at a club like Huddersfield but West Brom should be one of the better teams in the division, especially at home.

People want Carlos Corberan still? If he was British, people would say it's basically Tony Pulis brand football but when your foreign it's master piece football. Never been impressed with West Brom under him, defensively good but attacking... nothing very limited.
